Turk has nailed it! Definately an opinion piece with an agenda!!! Most of his "conservatives" are film critics!!!!! Then he makes the statement of two Hollywood conservatives!!! There are more blank references to "conservatives" than actual sources to quote! WHERE IS ONE NATIONALLY KNOWN, POLITICALLY ACTIVE, CONSERVATIVE QUOTED? Don't bother looking, he didn't name any. Conservatives don't have anything against treating our world well. It's in the very nature of our "conservative" name! It is the manner in which the progressives want to take, control, tax and manipulate this country in the name of environmentalism. If Gore is the poster child, it shows that they are just after the power, money and votes. In reality, they care less than conservatives but have a better team of salesmen in this field. Just like the statement "A crisis is a terrible thing to waste," they will take advantage of the environmentalists all the way to the bank. They don't support anything that won't provide a gain for more power! The same thing now exists with the Health Plan. Most of it was to gain more control and power over the people. Take off the blinders!! Oh, I think you are so wrong. Besides the obvious, like Rush Limbaugh's Spotted Owl recipes and the sounds of chainsaws when he talks about forests, etc., much of the conflict in environmental controversies are about preserving the natural environment vs. property rights. And we know where conservatives stand on that, property rights always trumping preservation. Not to mention conservatives opposing any anti-pollution legislation if it might be "bad for business". Is it just you want me to take off some alleged blinders so you can try to pull the wool over my eyes?

www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-outthere5-2010jan05,0,4658814.story "They did as much damage as they could. It was deliberate," said Pat Flanagan, resource advocate for the Mojave Desert Land Trust, as she examined the dunes. "That's where the kangaroo rats are, the seed banks and lizards. As soon as you get tracks on a place, it's a long time until they are gone, sometimes years." How much ya wanna bet it wasn't liberals doing the damage?

This a fun game, I get it, find one liberal making a stupid statement then all liberals are stupid, ummmm I’ll need to think about that. HAHA You can rename your topic to Liberal Hoyywood hates America, afterall if your counting heads which Hollywood side wins when it comes to supporting OUR troops.

Reading between the lines. The word conservative does not appear in your article, the word republican appears twice. Sounds to me rerpbulicans are trying to bring senseibility to the table. In the topic Hollywood Hates America, the new movie playing at theaters everywhere, “Mr. Salazar is a blooming idiot, now bend over and pay”

Instead of labeling everyone that didn’t vote for the Mighty O, I’ll say, “Many off-roaders have little respect for nature.” Now if that’s what your thinking I’ll agree and I’m on the side of Eric Hamburg and Al Gartner. Instead of BHO spending money to buy votes, let’s create jobs and put local and federal officials in the remote areas to protect them. It’s Bush’s fault, nope it’s the do-nothing Mighty O’s fault. So what’s the name of this movie? "Obama Failure Number 253"

Bruce, It’s an opinion piece. Why would you make blanket statements based on an opinion? Assume Do you want to discuss the authors persuasion? It's not opinion when he quotes other sources, right wing sources, that are highly critical of the movie for it's "point of view". And I thought we no longer criticisized the sources other poster use? A double standard? You can google in "right wing citicism of Avatar" and come up with page after page after page with reports of this.

You all can deny it all you want, but there is a great deal of critisism of "Avatar" from the right. Maybe if you listened to real news instead of FOX, you might have heard about it.

Well, DUH, if there was a bunch of right wing criticism of the movie wouldn't you expect it to be reported on FOX news instead of just on the lefty news sources that you depend on for your information?

It ain't "made up". There has been much criticism of "Avatar" from the right. There isn't from FOX News because it is not in the interest of the company paying their salaries. Comprende?
