...and I would lump MSNBC, CNN and Airhead American is the same group Good call. BTW - all of those stations are losing viewers. Fox cable channel beat CNN by 380%, MSNBC by 247%, and Headline News by 299%. The O'Reilly Factor now has a larger audience than the CBS Evening News, 5.4 million to 5.368 million viewers (not that I am a BOR fan) Bill O'Reilly has just under 3 million viewers. CBS,NBC and ABC total audience is 20 to 25 million viewers for their evening news shows.. In the all important 25 to 54 age group. BO has less than a million. Since August '08,Fox News is a -28% in "primetime" and-7% during the day. Don't listen to O'Reilly's "interpretation" of the ratings. sources; Neilsen, Newser Magazine.

Once again - the main point was lost: MSM is losing viewership and readership - Fox News Channel is gaining viewership. Why? The people are realizing they do not get information, facts or news from MSM. They are realizing MSM thinks they are idiots. The people are realizing the MSM is in bed with the government. The reason 'Freedom of the Press' is in the constitution is to ensure it will not be brow beat by the government and will always be the watchdog of government. I am sure the Founding Fathers did not in their worst nightmares think the MSM would willingly get in bed with Gov't. The people have given the MSM benefit of doubt for too long and now even the most loyal to MSM are seeing how corrupt they are.

Yes and it all began with "Walter Kronkite" on CBS evening news.

Once again the main point was lost- O'Reilly's ratings are half of what you claimed. And FOX is down 28% since August. The MSM (CBS,ABC,NBC) still have 9 times the audience of Oreilly, FOX's top rated show. Granted the "alphabet networks" do have a dwindling audience but it's not people switching to FOX. All of their programming suffers from decreased ratings.

I honestly think it is a result of increased internet access and the ...blogosphereofBS out there. I choose to watch Fox news as it makes me feel that I see both sides of the issue more so than the MSM alphabet club but I also realize I have a bias ear to satisfy!

I think the Internet allows people to see more of a clear picture. They are realizing the lack of content MSM provides. Fox News Channel will continue to grow its viewership due to this. After saying that - the Internet makes it easier (at this point in time - before google, et al, start filtering our content) to research topics immediately. Audio and Visual stimulus are still important to many people though. There is nothing like those videos of the Thugs at the Townhall meetings to bring the American pubic out of their drugged state of unconsciousness.

No but not for the reasons you preconceive. But you should go see it several times to make up for our lack of support to this "Capitalistic Maniac". You liberal capitalist bashers just don't get it!

Our good friend Michael Moore was on Bill Maher the other nite promoting his new movie, and he criticized Capitalism by claiming that statistically, one guy has nine pieces of the economic pie in America, while the other nine people have to fight over the remaining piece. Nice try, but we've already been over that in this room, and I know what you folks would say: What's your point? That's the way America became great. Those other guys just need to bake their own pie. Am I wrong?
