What's going on? Jaime didn't die, the Stark boys didn't die, Snow didn't die, nobody died. Only two more episodes, someone needs to die.

I got bits and pieces of last night's show, will watch it again tonight. The big surprise was Cat let Jamie go, or did she really?

Hard to believe the season ends Sunday.
Hey JD, I understand what you mean about reading the book but since there are 5 books you could read book 1 and 2 as they represent season 1 and 2. Apparently I'm getting the first 5 books for Father's day, the goal is to read 1 and 2 before next season begins and keep up with season 3 reading book 3. I think reading the books for past season's will help understand the future season's. Just my opinion.

I hear you. I still intend to read "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" to try to get a better idea of what happened and why, so reading the Game of Thrones books makes some sense.

blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2012/05/31/game-of-thrones-star-kit-harington-on-how-the-show-compares-to-the-books/"There’s summer in the air, but it kinda feels like winter is coming, doesn’t it? That’s because the second season of HBO’s fantasy series “Game of Thrones” is about to draw to a close. Happily, “Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington stopped by the Wall Street Journal recently to comfort us in the winter of our despair, to talk about his preparation for the third season, and to discuss how the critically-acclaimed series stands up to the popular books that inspired it."

Season finale tonight, folks. I'm taking bets on who will die. Tyrion? If no one dies it will be rather anti-climatic.

I stumbled across a web site the other day that was tracking deaths, last week they gave up.
If Tyrion dies he will be a huge loss to the show but that seems to be what makes it a show. I watched the last episode 3 times and it appears Tyrion was only cut across the face, perhaps he just passed out. I hope he still around he's one of my favorite characters.
I'll guess something happens to Jamie and John Snow wins over the free people.
This might be the episode where no one dies but leaves us hanging until next season.

I was actually thinking the senior Lanister's return to King's Landing might be bad for Joffrey. Maybe it will be, but so far it was just Tyrion who suffered.
It WAS shocking that Joffrey dumped Sensa for that Tyrell girl. Let's hope Sensa can make an escape.
That guy who got Arya out of the city is an interesting new character.
I wonder what's going to happen to Theon? What about his sister and father?
I can't imagine we've seen the last of Stannis and the Red Woman.
It's going to be a long wait until 2013 and season three.

It would be hilarious if Jamie got together with the big blonde woman. Not much chance of that, I suppose.

I didn't get the 1st five books for Father's Day but I did get the first 4 books and they are sold as a package. The books are $8.99 or $9.99 each, don't remember. JD, I know you will love book 1 which is season 1, I have limited time to read and a slower reader to boot yet I found my self planning my day around reading times, I book 1 addicting. I had expected to take 6 months each for book 1 and 2, I'm a slow reader but finished 800+ pages of book 1 in less than 4 weeks. I'll start book 2 in the morning. Book 2 is over 1,000's pages of small font print. Send the few bucks for a boat load of reading.

Don't tempt me, I'm trying to stick to my "don't read the book until you've seen the movie" rule. I'm still trying to find the time to read "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".

Actually if you saw season one then you've already seen the movie. Book 1 "Game of Thrones" is season one and Book 2 "A Clash of Kings" is season 2. I was going to give my eyeballs a weeks rest but I dove into book 2 yesterday. I don't think I'll wait for the end of season 3 before I read Book 3 "A Storm of Swords." By the title we can expect a lot of violence and killing.

If there wasn't violence and killing it might as well be called "Basket weaving with the Starks". Who'd watch that?

How did someone spot Bush's head impaled on the battlefield spike ? Talk about being observant . Observant or a wild imagination. I saw the picture and it didn't look anything like Bush to me. I've completed the first book and on page 600 for the second book. My goal was to read book 1 & 2 before March and read book 3 during the season. The problem is I can't but the book down, I'll have book 4 if not the book 5 read before March 2013. And I not a speedy reader and each book is +- 1,000 pages in a small font.
