Best TV show ever. I find it truly amazing the impact GoT had around the globe. One estimate over 1 million people will miss work today. In the UK it didn't air until 2:00 a.m. (their) Monday.
A spin-off is rumored to be in the works also a prequel.

A long time ago I said if they killed off Dany millions of male viewers would throw their televisions out the window. I'm sure they knew that so they waited until the last episode. I'm not sure if I can watch the prequel.

Well, a few weeks have passed since the trauma of the ending of GOT, and I can now actually talk about it. During the year plus between the ending of the previous season and the beginning of the finale, I was praying over and over "Please don't blow the ending, please don't blow the ending..." Well, they blew the ending.

So GOT won a bunch of Emmys. Do I care? No. The only way I can stand to think about GOT now is if I convince myself that it ended with the killing of the Night King.

Still got the ending of GOT stuck in my craw. What does it say about the times we live in? The theme seems to be betrayal, as in how Dany was betrayed. Makes me think how gassed Syrians were betrayed by Obama (hindsight on my part), and how the Kurds were betrayed by Trump. And now the Dreamers will probably be betrayed by SCOTUS.

It was two years ago yesterday that the Night King was killed on GOT. For me, that was the end of the series. In the remaining two episodes, all that left to happen was the murder of Daenarys and the scheming Bran Stark becoming Lord of Westeros. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

So I’ve gotten over the end of GOT finally and I’m watching House of the Dragon. Not too bad.
