I want to tell you a story from my evening at Starbucks some years back. A guy named Wayne Sider and I were talking about re-incarnation. He believed that the Kennedy Brothers were involved in the Lincoln Assasination.
He said that JFK was really John Wilkes Booth and that was why he was shot in Dallas. Further that Lewis Payne or Powell was Bobby and since he was involved in the attempt on Secretary Seward's life and the conspirace had to reap what he had sowed on April 10 1865.
If you are wondering why Teddy was a notorius coward it was George Atzerodt's nature to get drunk and flee from the attempt on Andrew Johnson's life.
BTW I have read excerps from Dark Union and Neff's translation of the coded message left by Lafayette Baker, head of the National Detective Police in charge of the manhunt.
A bit of Karma involving Boothe's diary. The Congress wanted Edwin M. Stanton to turn over the diary given him by Sergeant Corbett. He refused and in wnet all the way to the Supreme Coart. When he finally turned it over there 18 pages missing. Shades of Watergate.
You might find the story of Andrew Johnson't trial and Thaddeus Steven's role in it. Senate Members said that they just couldn't put Ben Wade in the White House.
More Fiction and Fact from Sam's Almanac.

Patton had the benefit of a unique experience over Montgomery and Eisenhower. Neither had done to them in the same way that Patton had done to him.
I've never had the experience in pranging myself in the desert, and I hope I never do. Those that have remain awfully silent!

DJ.
You must use a news reader to pick up any instances of your ID. Anyways, as Larry would say, ""Have you had second thoughts about how your candidate is doing on the spending front?"
Everyone comments on his ability to give speeches when you has the aid of the teleprompter.
As i warned you before the electioon: No one knows who writes speeches.

Patton was a wise soldier. His aide came to him in the winter of 1944 telling him that his men wanted sleeping bags. He said, "Tell them that they don't want sleeping bags. You can free yourself from a blanket but in a sleeping bad Jerry will come upon you in the night and cut you to shreds."
They said that they wefe cold and wanted them any. So he ordered that they get some bags. While they were on the way. His aide said, "Forget the sleeping bags." He smiled and said, they must have heard about the MPs getting burchered the other night.

I had a friend who was in the 36th Infantry Division in Italy. He was a wire chief and the tanks kept running over the field wires for the telephones to the command post. Every time they put a wire up on the pole a German sniper shot him.
Bradley drove up and said what is going on here. Dick explained the situation. Bradley said, "Sergeant you take the wires up there." He said they had sent for a sniper killer so he wanted to wait.
Bradley pulled out his forty-five and said, "What will it be me or the sniper?" Dick said he got the wires up and burned that pole all the way down.

Hammas and company say that they want a State with Jerusalem with its capital. Dream on Ragman. You are not going to get it. Providence will take a hand before you do. Also you might expect a nice earthquake to shake the Dome of the Rock to its foundationsl so that the Temple may be rebuilt.

Obama presumes too much when he says at the UN that Israel shoud return to its original borders before the 1967 war. that appears to me to show his sophistry about the world.

DJ. Anyways, as Larry would say, ""Have you had second thoughts about how your candidate is doing on the spending front?" No, not really. Many people don't realize that about 40% of the stimulus is not in the form of spending, it is in the form of tax cuts. Until this dawns on everyone, I am not really interested in getting into any heated exchanges over it. I think the teleprompter is another non-issue. He and a man named Jon Favreau are in charge of penning his speeches. Whether he uses cue cards or post-it notes or a teleprompter when he actually GIVES the speech are utterly irrelevant in my book. They are his ideas. Gene, I have to say again how much you've lifted my spirits with your return. Glad to see you are still slogging forth with the wit and wisdom.

If one believes in reincarnation, seems there is no incentive to get things right, to live properly and well, and respect life either, because if you screw up you get to go at it over and over. Like a video game with infinite lives, it would be boring after awhile. Imagine a video game where you only get one chance, and that chance cost you everything you have.

On December 24th, 1913, Senator Nelson Aldrich and his cronies in the House and Senate stayed behind over the holidays to pass the Federal Reserve Act pf 1913 which was signed that evening by Woodrow Wilson.
They had tried ever since the 1870s but until that time never had enough Democrats to put a willing agent in the White House. Finally they had their man.
So to do the denizens of the sewers of Washington now have their man. So that they are now going about the dirty work while behind closed doors to pass the atrocity called by the misnomer of Health Care Reform.
When we all wake up on January 1st 1910 will history repeat itsself and in perfidious manner see the Democrats shove this bitter pill down the throats of our countrymen and women to the detriment of all our citizens.

Since the Federal Reserve Act was passed the United States has grown to be the biggest strongest democratic republic with largest most resilient capitalist economy in the history of the world.
I find it amusing that 96 years later people are still screaming "conspiracy" and acting as if the Federal Reserve Act destroyed the U.S.
One point, the conspiracists insist that the Federal Reserve Act which was enacted in 1913 was the baby of Nelson Aldrich when in fact the bill - which went through 11 months of argument and amendment - was specifically introduced in OPPOSITION to the Aldrich plan. The Aldrich plan would have created a Fed which was a PRIVATELY OWNED incorporation of banks. The Fed which was created was actually a quasi-government agency with a board of directors which oversaw a system of stock-owned reserve banks throughout the U.S. It was NOT the Aldrich plan.

Oh, and also, the Federal Reserve Act was passed by the House on the 22nd of December, not Christmas eve. It was not a gathering of cronies, the vote was 278-60 in favor. This by the way was the conference report meaning it was already OK'ed in versions from the House and Senate beforehand, and then put together into the conference bill. The Senate accepted the conference report on the 23rd of December, 43-25.
When this happened all the fighting had been done and an Act had been produced that the vast majority expected to work, and it has.
I know it sounds so deliciously conspiratorial to say the President and House and Senate bullrushed a bill late on Christmas eve while no one was looking, but it's just not at all the way it went down. The legislation was 30 sections long and had been the main focus of the legislature the entire year.
This after about 5 years of commissions to determine exactly how to create a Fed to better manage currency reserve as the economy expanded and contracted seasonally.
What many people don't realize is that the bulk of the work of the Fed in terms of money supply is to deal with SEASONAL expansion and contraction in the economy. The individual reserves around the country clear checks and other instruments and loan money back and forth to each other through their own reserve accounts, every day. It's why you can go to an ATM and grab $500 when you need without making a banker do backflips over a shortage of bills that day.

Come here on occasion to read these old soldier post. My first wifes dad is 90 and on occasion tells stories as he flew 55 missions in italy in mitchells. But your reincarnations views made me respond. I see an absolute opposite view to yours. First if your coming back you would want to make the world a better place. Your assuming the game has no consequences because of the repition. Death scares most but we could spiral to a place where death would be welcomed as relief.

The Fact Checker strikes again! At least my old memory seems to recall that Nelson aldrich;s daughter married John D. Rockefeller, Jr. and she was the mother of the brothers four. She was also the impetus behind the New York Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art.
As an aside I have always believed that the Fed, more or less, did a creditable job of managing the money supplies, etc. The tightening which had a lot to do with the Great Depression beiing an exception.

The Plan for mankind provides for a way to settle Karmic debts through reincarnation. Souls given Free Will by the Creator are free to do with their activities what they will; however, we should be mindful of the admonition: As ye sow, so shall ye reap.
that is what the Universal Law of Cause and Effect (Karma) is all about.
