Come on JD, that comment is below the average lib. Burning the flag is wrong, burning the koran is wrong, burning the bible is wrong, building the mosque is wrong. The point is look at the muslims they going are nuts rioting, they are crazy people consumed in an evil book. How the f’ can you draw any comparison? That’s sheer ignorance.

If Israel bombed Iran, I'd burn their flag in a heartbeat. I'd never burn a Torah.

It’s not about burning anything, okay I get, we have a right to burn what we want. The issue is we’re talking about crazy people. People that go bonkers at the thought that someone would insult their god, but to hell with another’s god, it’s only their god that’s important. That’s their reason for absurd crazy behavior. One of many of the reasons I’m an atheist. Seems to me if one feels their way is the only way to eternal life then by nature one would reject all other beliefs’. They worship a god of intolerance.

You've gotten to the bottom of all religious wars. If my beliefs are right, the other guy's must be wrong and it is my DUTY to save my fellow man from error. So those preaching error must die.

Okie dokie, then if one’s religion is the only way to god then it must be the wrong religion. Or is it - there truly is one god and its man’s distorted look through colored glass that can’t see other dimensions. Man then makes his part more important than gods part. Some basic differences as I see them: Insult islam and get beheaded, insult Jesus and get prayed for. So the safer choice of religious intolerance seems to favor Christians (I’m not going to debate the history of Christianity.) As I see it - Believe what you want, don’t get worked up over another’s belief because it just demonstrates your religious intolerance, if there’s a god I don’ believe he/she would have intolerance.

I bet they dont do it anyhow.... lots of info coming out on this preacher man.... he is no Oral Roberts, thats for sure. And yes, the general shoulda said something to the preacher, not the media. Didnt McCrystal get in trouble for speaking his mind out of school? Yes, but this time it is not ABOUT Obama and Obama agrees with him.

Did you actually listen to the quote? She was using Mao to make the point that everyone needs to make their own choices. Hardly a communist point. Using a communist dictator to make that point seems a stretch to me, but it fit in context. But using Mao and Mother Theresa as two bookends to take philosophies from may be a little subtle for conservatives like Glenn Beck, but was probably appropriate for the sophisticated, educated audience she was speaking to. There, I said it.
