An article in the NYT talks about Finland’s history of “appeasement” of their Russian neighbor and how it is viewed negatively now even in Finland. That kind of neutrality has been mentioned as an option for Ukraine, but now even Finland is talking about joining NATO. And we wonder at Russia’s paranoia. But I also heard about a renewed alliance of Russia and China. Who would say that America isn’t bringing it about with all the “Standing up to Russia and China” rhetoric coming out of Washington?

Uh-oh! Ukraine is talking about giving up the idea of joining NATO to appease Putin. That will piss off the Be Tough types in Washington. But it will give them a lot of ammo to criticize Biden, because we all know this wouldn’t have happened under Trump. 😜

So easy, so predictable: Putin = Hitler. Remember that when you are paying $10 a gallon for gas.

If there was any question about Germany, it has jumped enthusiastically on the NATO militarism bandwagon. Rev up those panzers!

Lots of people and organizations seem very enthusiastic about sticking it to Russia. Is there an underlying motivation?

Lots of people and organizations seem very enthusiastic about sticking it to Russia. Is there an underlying motivation? Putin has been warning the world for years, no one has paid attention.

I had no idea of how much Europe hated Russians.

So Finland will join NATO. Of course, Finland has a long history of antagonism with Russia, including joining with Hitler in his invasion of the Soviet Union. And Sweden, which sat out WWII, may join NATO too. What did Putin expect when he invaded Ukraine? What effect will this have on Russian paranoia?

One thing is certain: Once the nukes start falling, no one will care who was to blame.

From Newsmax:
“Bipartisan House Group Aims to Declare Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism”
Notice this comes from both worthless parties. Of course hag Taiwan Pelosi is on on it too.

So Ukraine is claiming Russia has lost 2,000 “tanks”, by which I assume means AFV’s of all sorts. Must make Germany happy, payback and all that.

So the UN, which for most of its history has been a tool of US foreign policy, is now directing its wrath at Russia. But the UN experiment in creating anti-Nationalist anti-war globalism had been failing for decades.
