www.nytimes.com/2014/08/29/world/obama-vows-new-russia-penalties-over-ukraine.html?_r=0"While Mr. Obama has been reluctant to send substantial American forces to allies in Eastern Europe, NATO plans to create a “spearhead” rapid deployment force and a “more visible” presence in the region. But Mr. Obama ruled out direct involvement. “We are not taking military action to solve the Ukrainian problem,” he said. “What we’re doing is to mobilize the international community to apply pressure on Russia. But I think it is very important to recognize that a military solution to this problem is not going to be forthcoming.”
While Obama is still a foreign policy boob, this proves at least he's not insane.

And here I thought Putin had turned into a big pussy and was just going to let the Pro-Russian forces in Ukraine get their asses kicked. Now those wacky Europeans are trying to come up with ways to "punish" Russia without adding further damage to their ailing economies. Very amusing. I love it when the Powers-that-be are handed a difficult to solve problem. Being an elite can be stressful. But the Europeans have feared and hated Russia for centuries.

Ummmm! Putin says he got 5,000 nuclear warheads? Soooo! When Russia, US and China, UK Tosses Nukes at eachother! Well This pathetic world will cease to exist. So if you go to south american countries or other parts of the world. Well think again you may be safe for little while! The world will be covered with radioactive fallout, then you will die in slow painful death by radioactive poisoning Think like you got your house covered in a big tent thingy when you hire pest control to fumigate your house to kill pests no where to run for bugs to hide they be dead, The world will be in a big tent and we will die from radioactive poisoning just like insects. I bet some very advance Alien Beings in space is laughing at us, Primitive humans playing with atomic energy that they dont understand the consequences, Meaning we are not ready to master Atomic Energy. Just like leaving a gun for a caveman early primates to find they dont know what the gun is, they play with loaded gun and accidentally shoot themselves! because the caveman playing with the dangerous tool that they dont understand of its use! We be like the Insects zapped by bug spray

Also, there is no denial mankind found nuclear fission too early in it's evolution. But I suspect rats and cockroaches will survive a nuclear holocaust, and what does the universe care if humans are gone? Sadly, by human logic, which is probably suicidal, nations may paint themselves into a corner defending their "freedom" or "national sovereignty" or whatever "ism" they believe in, and the nukes will fly.

america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/11/25/france-suspends-shipment.html"France suspended the delivery of a warship to Russia on Tuesday, after months of speculation about what would be the biggest arms sale ever by a NATO country to the Kremlin. The French president's office announced the suspension "until further notice" after growing pressure from allies due to tensions over Russia's actions in Ukraine. “The President of the Republic considers that the situation in the east of Ukraine still does not permit the delivery of the first BPC [helicopter carrying and command vessel],' said a statement from President Francois Hollande's office. “He has therefore decided that it is appropriate to suspend, until further notice, examination of the request for the necessary authorization to export the first BCP to the Russian Federation.” I can only imagine the amount of arm twisting the USA put on France to suspend this sale. I wonder if we are giving France money under the table to make up for it. Still, who would want to make an arms deal with France after this episode of spinelessness?

www.nytimes.com/2015/01/30/world/europe/european-union-russia-sanctions-greece.html?_r=0"BRUSSELS — Gathering in Brussels, European foreign ministers scrambled on Thursday to hold a united front against Russia over Ukraine, calming worries that the election of a far-left government in Greece hostile to sanctions could upend Europe’s policy toward Moscow. This week’s victory of the anti-establishment Syriza party in Greece had been widely seen as enhancing dogged but previously unsuccessful efforts by Russia to divide members of the European Union and undermine the bloc’s sanctions policy." Just the latest episode of Russia vs. Europe, a rivalry going back at least as far as the defeat of the Teutonic Knights in 1242.

Russia should be required to withdraw all its forces and equipment from Ukraine, reestablish the border under international monitoring and cease its support for a separatist statelet — or face a significant escalation of economic sanctions and a Ukrainian army with better weapons." Just one more escalation, and the Russkies will fold, don't you think? Of course it might be one step closer to a radioactive Europe, because Russia is not some Middle East sh*thole that America can push around like Iraq or Iran, is it? And this merde is from a so-called "liberal" newspaper. It says a lot about the state of American "liberalism".

america.aljazeera.com/opinions/2015/2/to-solve-ukraine-crisis-europe-breaks-from-the-us.html"Secretary of State John Kerry’s remarks in Kiev last week that the United States is considering providing weapons to the embattled Ukraine government of President Petro Poroshenko threatens to ignite a political crisis in Europe that could have profound implications for the U.S. Not since the end of World War II have the European powers, led by Berlin and Paris, faced such a naked choice of loyalty. Will Europe remain obedient to Washington under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization umbrella of conventional and nuclear forces? Or will Europe decide to go its own way, negotiating its economic and security interests with Russia and its allies independently of the U.S.?" Maybe Europe is tired of following an American foreign policy decided by right wing ideologues for the last 70 years.

Kerry said Saturday. Speaking to reporters in London, where he met with British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond, Kerry said he expected that the United States and its European allies would impose some “very serious” sanctions and other steps to punish Moscow after repeated cease-fire violations by Russian-backed Ukrainian separatists." So America still claims it has some right to "punish" Russia for it's perceived misdeeds. Maybe Russia feels it has the right to "punish" Ukraine for their misdeeds. I'd love to be able to "punish" any American politician who thinks we have a dog in this fight. As I've said before, Russia is not some chickenshit Middle Eastern country like Iraq that we have been pushing around for 24 years now, for all the good it's done us.

www.washingtonpost.com/world/europe/behind-tough-british-bark-on-russia-and-islamic-state-is-very-little-bite/2015/03/12/ae63a442-c727-11e4-bea5-b893e7ac3fb3_story.html?hpid=z3"LONDON — With Europe facing its shakiest security environment in a generation, Britain has slipped into a familiar role: Washington’s tough-talking wing man. British leaders have led the rhetorical charge against the twin menaces of Russia and the Islamic State, while browbeating reluctant European governments to wake up to the reality of a newly unstable continent. But behind the flinty facade lies an unmistakable erosion in British power, one that has reduced Washington’s indispensable ally to a position that U.K. officials, military leaders and analysts acknowledge could leave the United States without a credible partner in taking on the greatest threats to global security. “If the U.K. can’t do it, who else is the U.S. going to turn to in Europe?” said Gen. Richard Dannatt, a retired British army chief. “There’s no one else.” Gosh, last thing we want is a "shaky" security environment, do we? But perhaps, after 200 years of conniving against European rivals (first France, then Germany, then the Soviet Union), maybe the Brits are getting tired. I remember when Bush Sr. was having doubts about invading Iraq, Maggie Thatcher allegedly said "Don't get wobbly on me." Twenty-four years later, how has that worked out for us? So now the UK is accused of not putting their money where their mouth is. Are they really supposed to care about the centuries old feud between Ukraine and Russia? Maybe they don't have money to burn like the USA has. Or maybe they are just fatigued from the endless meddling in other country's affairs.

www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-31837660"Deepening ties between Greece's new government and Russia have set off alarm bells across Europe, as the leaders in Athens wrangle with international creditors over reforms needed to avoid bankruptcy. While Greece may be eyeing Moscow as a bargaining chip, some fear it is inexorably moving away from the West, towards a more benevolent ally, a potential investor and a creditor. Europe is not pleased. Should it also be worried?" Maybe Europe should get over itself. Heck, it was the Russians who saved Europe from Nazi domination. Were they grateful? Not at all. They immediately jumped into an anti-Russian alliance concocted by the U.S.

www.cnn.com/2015/06/16/politics/air-force-f-22-europe/index.html "(CNN)The U.S. Air Force could be sending some of its most advanced warplanes to Europe in a show of force against Russian actions in Ukraine and elsewhere around the continent, the service's top civilian said Monday. "The biggest threat on my mind is what's happening with Russia and the activities of Russia," Secretary of the Air Force Deborah James said during a visit to the Paris Air Show. "It's extremely worrisome on what's going on in the Ukraine." It's more worrisome to me what's happening in the heads of those in charge of our foreign policies. But all this sabre-rattling just makes me tired.

www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34263955"US Secretary of State John Kerry has called his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in a bid to clarify the intent of Moscow's military build-up in Syria, a state department official said. Mr Kerry also warned that continued support for President Bashar al-Assad would only prolong the conflict, the official added. The US accuses Russia of boosting its military presence in Syria. The Kremlin says it is helping Syria fight Islamic State militants. Moscow has been a key ally of Mr Assad throughout the bloody four-year civil war but has increased its presence in the country just as the regime is losing ground to rebel groups." Uh-oh. The Russkies are encroaching on our turf. How could they not? Americans think the whole world is their turf. Apparently the Millennials think so too. Their funeral.

Russia seems to be moving back to the top of the list of boogeymen de jour for the fear mongers, who's job seems to be to scare Americans with who's coming to get them next, whether it's Saddam or China or ISIS or whomever. Whatever it takes to shakedown the American taxpayer. And, oh gosh, the Russkies are bombing "CIA backed" rebels in Syria, whomever they are. Bad, bad Putin. Just wait 'till Trump is inagurated, he'll make Putin run home with his tail between his legs, just like the Gipper made the Iranians give back the hostages just by being elected. Or so the story goes.
