This section should be fairly safe from the stress and ugliness of the rest of them.... cant argue over real life. I get so sick of the bitching and complaining, whether its here or on the news or radio.... I find myself avoiding it, since not only am I not a debater, but I just repel negativity. Take that for what it is worth... coz most of us actually have lives that involve plenty of happiness and fun, day to day, reguardless of what the left or right may think. Plus, life is way too short to waste it reading opponents trashing me or my friends. I figure it will be stable in here, if it lasts, for me anyhow. We shall see.
My grandkids were over tonite, they dug a huge hole in my yard.... did I get pissed? Nope, they had way too much fun doing it so how can I get mad? I will be dead and gone someday, I prefer they remember me as the fun guy rather than the prick.

This is a great thread, animal.
The other threads will be active as they are topics we are all concerned about. As long as we are humans - there will be debates.
Now - on the other hand - spring has sprung and it is a time to be outside in the fresh air and enjoy family times.
For some of us it also means we are working many hours drumming up business and working.

Funny thing is this has been heavily on my mind for months and was exagerated with my recent trip to Florida! We so enjoyed our vacation and 9 days with the family and we did so many inexpensive and fun things! We came home and had a lovely gathering with the family here with the same pleasant results and discussions of the similarities and differences of lives from coast to coast.
The constant we found is US! We love life and our families and we tend to work hard so we can play harder. We spend our disgressionary funds on the kids and grandkids with no thought of cost because one can not put a cost on those smiles! They all have better lives now than we had at their ages because we love them and want it that way!
No one can strip us of this unless we allow it to happen - so the saying over my Dead Body - really weighs heavy in the discussion.

Yep... priorities. When its all said and done, we will be rotting in the ground with little left but a memory of us. I intend to make that worthwhile, and positive.

Life does go on pretty much as usual for people, most of whom ignore politics for the most part. Nothing wrong with thinking life is a big party I guess, some of my own family think so. For myself, I prefer to fight my natural apathy.

who thinks life is a big party? Prioritizing just means deciding between arguing things to death, or actually enjoying what we have here and now.

What an INCREDIBLE Day in Paradise!
This morning was intense work wise/business errand wise.
Noon - lunch with a friend and a walk for exercise and fresh air --> along the beach!
Then as I am dotting i's crossing t's here at the house... a much enjoyed client called in need of my talents!
Hummingbirds are reminding me to re-fill the food container... the lizards are pretending to be frightened when I step by them...
Freesias are blooming, Amaryllis' are blooming, Bottlebrush is in FULL glory... plumerias are leafing up... glads are showing greens... Firecrackers bloomed... trees are blooming...
And the ocean breezes are AWESOME!
Trip planned to go north in May was off/on again yesterday and is now being solidified as ON....
Life is so VERY VERY VERY incredible!!!
I love this thread, animal.
Maybe we could talk Turk into sticky'ing it so that we can daily remind ourselves how much we have to be grateful and thankful for.

Among the many Blessings in my life is the people here on this board. I have only had pleasure of face to face with one but have grown attached in ways to all of you. The bickering and bantering only adds to the overall value of life and some of you are on facebook as well which adds another ellement of social electronic personality to the mix. Jack of course is always there with another cartoon to smooth the pain of the negative aspect of politics but in the end it is all of us, the people and differences which makes it rewarding!
Thank you one and all for your valued input in our lives!

Here's how you guys have screwed up today for me: I went down to the Midway post office to mail my continuing claim form for UI, and it was infested with several dozen Tea Partyers (plus four cop cars). Now normally I would have given them the international symbol for F-you as I drove off, but then I thought, "Damn, one of these people could be Dolphie or nikki or even Jack!", and I couldn't do the deed. Thanks a lot.

My days since being back home have generally been filled with either pain or concern.... but today was the best day since being back home. I went to the tea party this morning in Gilbert, AZ.... great time and met good people. Came home and got the money owed me for a business deal (lots). A dude and his wife I met at the tea party came here and they are from Gallup, NM.... they do balloon rides there and all we have to do is go to Gallup and we get a ride..... thats only some of what made this a great day, including getting lost and walking way far trying to get back to my bike at the tea party.... and beiing able to walk farther than I have in years WITHOUT PAIN. I got home and figured out my present to wifey for her BDay tomorow... a friend (lady) from Ireland is taking her to Ireland for a week of fun siteseeing this year sometime.
So yes, it was a good day.

Thanks a lot. You don't impress me as someone who has the guts to go face to face with anybody when spewing your socialist talking points. Giving people the finger as you safely "drive off" is something out of the playbook of spoiled little girls and lefty f@ggots.
