I would like to document the latest style of anger, division, and outright bad taste of the republican party since the election of President Obama. I shall start with the lastes outrages act of bad taste bordering on flaming violence towards the democratic party. Remeber the guns at the latest Presidential Events? from the AP, please read below -------------------------- Republican shoots target with Fla. Dem's initials MIAMI — A South Florida Republican said it was a mistake to shoot at a target with the initials of the Democratic congresswoman he is trying to unseat. Candidate Robert Lowry made a brief statement to a local newspaper but refused to speak further Friday about the incident, which happened Tuesday during a weekly GOP meeting held at a gun range. Organizer Ed Napolitano defended the gathering, as well as the use of targets that appeared to be gunmen with traditional Arab head scarves. "That's our right," said Napolitano, president of the Southeast Broward Republican Club. "If we want to shoot at targets that look like that, we're going to go ahead and do that." Lowry declined to comment to The Associated Press. He initially told the South Florida Sun Sentinel that shooting at a target with the letters "DWS" — a not-so-veiled reference to Democratic U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Sltz — was a "joke," but then said it "was a mistake." His campaign manager, Chris Leggatt, said Friday: "I don't think we need to make any further comment about it. It's an issue that's been addressed." Wasserman Sltz, who made headlines earlier this year when she announced she had been secretly battling breast cancer, represents a liberal district that includes a stretch of South Florida from Fort Lauderdale to Miami Beach. She is expected to easily win re-election, though Lowry and three other GOP candidates are vying to face her. The congresswoman declined to comment. A spokesman, Jonathan Beeton, said "We didn't feel that behavior dignified a response." A spokeswoman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Jennifer Crider, said "It's absolutely outrageous. He needs to rethink his sense of humor. It wasn't about issues, it wasn't about anything of substance, it was a personal attack that wasn't called for." Both Lowry and Napolitano said they were unsure who scrawled "DWS" on the target the candidate fired at during the event, which attracted about 50 people. Many of the targets were basic silhouettes, though others were figures wearing traditional Arab head scarves, called kaffiyeh, and holding rocket-propelled grenades. Napolitano said the faces of those figures appeared to be white, though he understood why they would be assumed to be Arabs. He said critics of the event are simply angry that a Republican minority continues to exist in such an overwhelmingly Democratic area. "I absolutely have no regrets. I don't care what the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee or any of them say — I know that they're offended by the simple fact that we're here and we won't go away and we won't be quiet," he said. "For the Democrats, who are supposed to be the party of minority rights, they're not being very sensitive to our rights." ------------------------------------

Now the GOP is even resorting to 'sexism" -------------------------------- thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/61923-nrcc-mcchrystal-should-put-pelosi-in-her-placeNRCC: McChrystal should put Speaker Pelosi 'in her place' By Eric Zimmermann - 10/06/09 07:14 PM ET Some Republicans are taking heat today for suggesting that General Stanley McChrystal should put Speaker Nancy Pelosi "in her place." In a statement criticizing Pelosi for not supporting a troop surge in Afghanistan, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) said Pelosi should stop meddling in foreign policy. "If Nancy Pelosi’s failed economic policies are any indicator of the effect she may have on Afghanistan, taxpayers can only hope McChrystal is able to put her in her place," the statement reads. Democrats are jumping all over the NRCC for alleged sexism. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Sltz (D-Fla.) blasted the GOP as "80 percent male and 100% white."

Even Republican Joe Scarborough is denouncing Glenn Beck for hatred towards our democratic President. I still dont trust Scarborough though. --------------------------------- freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2345363/postsScarborough Demands GOP Renounce Beck's 'Hatred'; Accuses Beck of Obama Assassination Hysteria Tuesday, September 22, 2009 | Kristinn Posted on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 4:00:23 AM by kristinn In the first half-hour of today's show, MSNBC Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough accused Fox News Channel and radio talk show host Glenn Beck of spreading hatred and whippping up raced-based assassination hysteria against Barack Obama, demanding Republicans renounce Beck. Scarborough, a former conservative Republican congressman from Florida, attacked the libertarian Beck for spending the summer telling viewers there were FEMA detention camps being built and for saying that Obama hates "all white people." Scarborough said the "hatred" Beck is spreading would make him responsible should Obama be assassinated. Though he didn't speak explicitly of Obama's assassination, it was clear what Scarborough meant. Scarborough demanded that potential Republican presidential candidates denounce Beck, naming Mitt Romney in particular.

The GOP is even BANNING its own, in TEXAS, is this a suprise? Read below, the GOP is calling the log cabins folks a HATE group. Why? ---------------------------------- www.lcrga.com/news/Robert-Black-Texas-Republican/98060801.shtmlTexas GOP Bans Log Cabin Republicans Party Spokesman Robert Black Compares Delegates to KKK, Child Molestors June 8, 1998 (WASHINGTON, DC) – The Republican Party of Texas has prohibited the Log Cabin Republicans of Texas, represented by over 50 openly gay, elected GOP delegates and alternates, from having an official presence at the state GOP convention in Fort Worth this weekend, and has publicly compared the organization to the Ku Klux Klan and to child molestors in a series of scathing official public statements. "The Republican Party is not going to allow individuals like the Log Cabins or the KKK or any other hate group in direct conflict withour philosophy a forum to spread their hateful message," said Texas GOP spokesman Robert Black to the Associated Press on June 6. In a Dallas Morning News article on June 4, Black also compared Log Cabin Republicans to the North American Man/Boy Love Association, a pedophile organization. "We are Republicans. We played by the rules, got elected as delegates in fair elections, and now we are being kept out," said Steve Labinski, president of Log Cabin Republicans Texas and a convention delegate. "You can't call yourself a big-tent party and discriminate against people at the same time," said Richard Tafel, executive director of the national Log Cabin Republicans in Washington, D.C. "Furthermore, as a Christian minister, I am offended that our organization is being accused of spewing hate against people of faith. It's completely dishonest. We can argue as to whether the Texas Republican Party speaks for God, but there is no question that only one side in this is spreading hatred that that is Robert Black and the Texas GOP." "What is it going to take for good Republicans to wake up and confront what is happening to their party?" Tafel said. The action by the state party also called into question the leadership of Governor George W. Bush (R-TX), who will receive the nomination of the party at the convention. Bush is touted as a potential GOP presidential candidate in 2000 who could unite conservatives and moderates in the party, but has refused to comment on the Log Cabin ban and the official public statements of Black and others about the group of openly gay delegates and alternates going to Fort Worth. In response to the Texas GOP action, Log Cabin Republicans Texas will hold a rally at the Fort Worth Water Gardens on Saturday, June 13, at noon, in support of an inclusive Republican Party.

There is a "King of the Hill" game going on between the right wing talking heads. Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity and others are trying to see who can go the furthest in their attacks on the administration. Joe Scarborough is trying a different tactic, trying to be more moderate and reasonable. And that wannabe Rick Roberts has already gone over the edge but fortunately few listen to him.

Even McCain's daughter is reasonable enough to see what allot of Americans are seeing from the GOP. I applaud her ! --------------------------- jezebel.com/5334805/mccain-takes-on-malkin-for-soul-of-republican-partyMcCain Takes On Malkin For Soul Of Republican Party By LatoyaPeterson, 10:00 AM on Tue Aug 11 2009, 5,066 views (Edit, to draft, Slurp) Copy this whole post to another site Slurp cancel select site advertising consumerist deadspin defamer fleshbot gay fleshbot gawker gizmodo idolator io9 jalopnik jezebel kotaku lifehacker valleywag artists gawkershop sploid Today, in her latest Daily Beast piece, Meghan McCain blasts the divisiveness of Michelle Malkin, explaining that "[Republicans] will not get anywhere by continuing to sell hate and fear." Outside of hatemongering, is there anything worth saving in the GOP? This is a question I've been wrestling with since the last election cycle showed an implosion of the Republican party. While a lot of my early mentors leaned a bit right, the Republicans have shown less and less of a desire to be the party of small government and fiscal responsibility, and more of an inclination to embrace as much hatred and bigotry that they can find. As I laughed watching the GOP blatantly pander by promoting Michael Steele (probably trying to trade on some of that "Barack the Magic Negro" sparkle they thought was falling from Obama), and cheered when Christopher S. Buckley decamped from the GOP, I still felt a twinge of sadness. I strongly believe that we need at least two viable political parties to have a constructive dialogue about governance in this country, and that has not been the case for a very long time. Meghan McCain seems to agree. Through her blog and her columns on the Daily Beast, McCain has been trying to steer the party away from the demagogues and back toward relevance. She strongly calls out pundits like Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter who trade in intolerance: To make matters worse, certain individuals continue to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Republicans. Especially Republican women. Who do I feel is the biggest culprit? Ann Coulter. I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. McCain is right to express bafflement - the personas that Coulter and Malkin use to promote themselves and their work are inherently sensationalized, valuing sound bytes and screaming over thoughtful, reasoned arguments. Sometimes, the rhetoric is so ridiculous, I start to think that maybe Ann Coulter is just making all of this up:

You are digging back to 1998? Sounds like you are having a bad day today. As far as the article itself, you are not GOP so what does it matter to you what GOP stands for or encompasses? Apparently, your party already stands side by side with NAMBLA, Sexual deviants and Perverts. Maybe the GOP wants to let the spot shine on your party in that respect as they take on the real issues of the day?

If she cannot stand being treated like any other Speaker of the House, then she is the one claiming the frail female role. Those standing by her yelling the same thing are also painting her as a poor widdle girl who cannot stand on her own - thus invalidating her as being able to handle the role of Speaker of the House. So... can she handle the heat like other Speakers have ? or is she too fragile and has to throw glasses/plates at males?
