Well, here we are again, talking money. Is that the bottom line for everything? Maybe it is. We add up the numbers to decide if undocumented workers are a benefit or a burden. It's very Republican of you all. What about having a safety valve for excess Mexican labor who otherwise might do something stupid like get behind a Mexican Castro? Well, maybe that wouldn't be that stupid...at least the drug cartels would get what they deserve! The trend in Latin America is going left while America has been distracted trying to bend the Middle East to it's will. At least Hillary is now paying some attention to Mexico.

The trend in Latin America is going left while America has been distracted trying to bend the Middle East to it's will. At least Hillary is now paying some attention to Mexico. It doesn't matter if it is Republicans or Democrats, money is a major issue. It is not just a Republican value. As far as the trend in Latin America is going left, you need to look at our politics. As has been stated numerous times, todays republicans are yesterdays democrats. That is because our own political system has been moving left for at least 60 years. It is one of the issues that concerns conservatives that we are departing from our original Republic form of government to one that is over regulated and restrictive. Hillary or not, we would be paying more attention to Mexico because of the violence that is overflowing into the U.S. That violence is as much our problem as it is Mexico's. Our citizens provide the habit, pay for the drugs that buys the weapons from us, to commit the violence to stay in control to keep the supply lines open to make more money! Gee, this violence IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!

Once again I stand corrected. Yes, it is about the money, whether it's Democrat or Republican or what is happening in Mexico. (But it is not ALWAYS about the money. For instance, if I could prove it was cheaper for America to have legal abortions than not, would that change your opinion on abortion? With some people, I bet it would though) But the part about the republicans being yesterday's democrats I'm not so sure. The thing is, in my opinion conservatives fret over government power, while we on the left worry about the power of corporations. Unfortuanately from where I sit it looks like the problem is the government/corporate complex that constitutes the "Establishment" and is the center of power. Wall Street and Washington work hand in hand, and the same people go back and forth between the two. (Am I pointing out the obvious again? Always a danger for me) Which is bad from my perspective, which is I expect the government to protect me from corrupt corporations. Now from your perspective, as Reagan said, the government IS the problem. I'm not sure how we can reconcile these views, but I'm working on it.
