Great tribute but is the Bobby Fischer the chess player or someone else?If he's the chess player I'm not sure he belongs on the list.

Interesting note:W.C.HEINZ wrote "DEATH OF A RACEHORSE"supposedly a masterpiece of sports journalism,I personally have not read it,I'll have to check it out.HEINZ also co wrote the novel MASH.

Irish Mike I appreciate your research, I’m a sports junkie and live for the next game. For me the world would be a very boring place if all I did was focus on politics.
I met Herb Score many years ago, Score was pitching for the Spokane Indians in the Pacific Coast League rehaping from an awful facial injury when I first met him. He was instrumental and encouragement for my brief (2 year professional) baseball career. He was a giant of a man and as gentle as a butterfly. I also met Johnny Podres and Walter Alston during the same time period.
Do you remember Hoyt Wilhelm? He taught me how to throw a knuckler.

Wow CM,don't tell me your a pitcher.During my brief high school career I also pitched, not very good but I tried, lol.Hoyt Wilhelm?Any relation to Wilhelm on the Chargers?Politics is for arguing it,Sports is for proving it,lol.I took the last 3 months off from the gym,but as of last Saturday,I'm back to lifting.4:30 A.M. 24 hour fitness in El Cajon.I want to switch to nights, but I've always hit it in the mornings,it is just too damn cold sometimes.Eating proper is the hardest thing for me,especially if the family wants pizza or something,I get fish or chicken while they enjoy the pizza.I allow one cheat day to eat what I want and as a reward for staying on regimen.
