Let me ask this: Do atheists really feel that beat up on?
I do remember the references to "Godless Communism" in all the propaganda thrown at me while I was growing up.

What the hell is going on here? Michigan woman faces civil rights complaint for seeking Christian roommate. I read this earlier, but I held off posting it thinking it may be some kind of prank. Apparently, it is true and the state of Michigan, Department of Civil Rights say they have a legitimate case and will pursue it. Earlier in the day they did not disclose who actually filed the complaint, but now they have -- Tyra Khan, civil rights representative with the State of Michigan. And I can't help but notice the last name Khan, origin, Muslim. This will be interesting to follow. www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.printable&pageId=218349

I am not going to let this one go. This stupid case was brought by a Civil Rights Representative on behalf of the State of Michigan's Civil Rights Department. No backlash against Christians going on? Really?

Really? Nikki, I am not usually one to cry foul first in stories like this one. But, it isn't passing the smell test. In fact, it stinks to high heaven. If this isn't a boneheaded liberal horseshit act of outright anti-Christian attack, I don't know what is.

Really? This is a very interesting case, I question why it has been elevated. On the surface it should not be a case at all and on the surface it seems an assault on Christianity. This would not be an issue if the person were a muslim.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11655704"The Bible's Gospel of Matthew describes how he ordered all boys under two in Bethlehem to be killed in an attempt to prevent the infant Jesus from usurping his position as the "King of the Jews". What I know about the Bible you could fit in a thimble, so could one of you experts explain to me why Herod thought there was some child of that age born in Bethlehem who would be "King of the Jews"?

What I know about the Bible you could fit in a thimble, so could one of you experts explain to me why Herod thought there was some child of that age born in Bethlehem who would be "King of the Jews"? Around the time of the birth of Jesus, wise men of the east followed a star to where they believed believed the king of the jews was to be born. They stopped in to King Herod to inquire. Hiding from them his alarm about a new King, Herod asked them to find the newborn and return to him and tell him exactly where the child was. Later, after finding Jesus and leaving him gifts, the magi learned in dreams that Herod intended to kill the child, so they returned to their homelands a different way. When Herod learned he had been tricked he decided to have all the male children under the age of two in Bethlehem killed. Joseph was warned in a dream and when the massacre occurred he and Mary had made their escape with the child Jesus to Egypt where they remained for a number of years until Herod had died.

You saved me from having to plow through all that scripture.

WAR OF THE BEAN COUNTERS
So on Glenn Beck's radio show he interviewed the right's newest golden boy, Rand Paul. Of course, all he talked about was money issues, because he would never bring up the things that Libertarians allegedly don't believe in, such as foreign interventions or drug prohibitions, because then he wouldn't fit in with his new GOP cronies, would he? But he did have a lot to say about debt and taxes, as he went after the Keynesians. Yawn. Of course, I only put this post in this thread because money IS America's, and the West's, actual God. It will be quite a shock when we have a real threat to our existence.
