I remember all the ash that covered my house and yard after the Witch Creek fire. The stuff coming out of that volcano will be a lot harder to deal with.

Yes, I remember the ash! The Harris fire burned up to the house beside mine. My wife had just undergone surgery for cancer and started to have a very hard time breathing. Fortunately I had a couple of respirators, fitted with fine dust cartridges. They were adequate until I got her out of the area to live with relatives. But the "ash" from a volcano is not really ash as what results from combustible materials, wood, leaves, paper, etc. The volcanic ash is very fine particulate rock and glass.
