I think I started a thread on this subject but trashed it. But it keeps coming back to my mind. For example, Ecuador is in a crisis of some sort fighting cartels (some from Mexico), but what is missing is Communists. It seems to be that way all over Latin America, except of course in Cuba, where Communism has been kept alive by American sanctions IMHO. But worldwide, there is no balance in The Force without Marxism. Alas, people of the world have rejected it. Go figure. 😉 Personally, to echo an old joke, I’m more of a Groucho Marxist.

Well, Marxism is probably one more subject beyond my pay grade. For instance: How Marxist is China? I don’t know enough to tell. I have read that the CCP and the Japanese Communist Party (yes, they have one. It is bigger deal there than in the USA) are at each others’s throats. I don’t know why.

There are no Marxists in Russia. There are no Marxists in Ukraine. There are no Marxists in Israel. There are no Marxists in Hamas. There are no Marxist Houthis as far as I can tell. There may be some Marxists protesting for cease-fire in Gaza but I’m not sure. The Bolsheviks were the ones calling for Russia to leave the war in 1917.

If the Chinese were true Marxists they would not be threatening invasion of Taiwan. Trying to subvert it, perhaps. Not that I am an expert on Marxism, of course.

More protests in Cuba. Could they be tired of class consciousness like the rest of the world? We’d rather divide people by race, religion, and nationality instead.

Marxists would have known how to solve the Israel vs. Palestine problem. A one state solution: A secular Israel. No chance of that, so let the cycle of violence continue.

In one of his cheesiest moments, Jesus allegedly said “the poor will always be with us” (What, is God powerless to end poverty?). Seems true, and though the world has rejected class consciousness, the haves and the have nots still exist. Right now, millions of Boomers are retiring to their vacation homes in the Bahamas, while other millions live from one Social Security check to another. What’s my point? Does our unease at the state of our Country have anything to do with that? I don’t know, people are still flocking to get in.
