Thx for reminding me, Turk, that the new season of GOT starts tonight. I wonder who is going to die this season? I suppose I could read the books and find out but it's much more fun to wait and see.

Common ground:
I’ve seen every episode a minimum of 5 times, episode 7-10 perhaps as many as 10-12 times each.
A couple of unanswered questions. When Ned Stark was speared in the calf did Jamie Lanister kill his guard or did he just give him a shift and hard whack to the head? The other unanswered question from the 2011 series, how did Ned’s wife actually capture Jamie Lanister? My youngest son’s girlfriend visited last week with my son, she’s read both books but would not answer my questions.
Since the days of “My Three Sons,” “Donna Reed,” “MASH,” ”Band of Brothers” there has never been a show that has captivated my attention like “Game of Thrones.”
I think it is the best written, acted and everything else, the best show/movie I’ve ever viewed.
My son returned to Berkeley late Friday, he with a friend captured tonight’s show, I received a text from him stating over 300 students showed up, of course he would not give me any details. I am going to read the book. Never seen a show that kills its stars before.
I’m guessing Khaleesi and Ned’s youngest daughter become pivotal this season. The bad news is there will only be 10 episodes until spring of 2013.
I find Khaleesi smokin hot.

Direct TV has it on a 6:00 p.m. and repeating every hour until 2:00 a.m. I'll watch the seasons premiere at least twice tonight.

Watch 2011 episode 10 just before Khaleesi announces she will step into the fire, you’ll hear the ring of a cell phone, editors are good but there is also cracks, its pretty funny.
Find the unedited version of each episode they run 20-40 minutes longer than the HBO version but well worth the effort.

As usual, Game of Thrones was great entertainment. I just wonder why CBS, NBC, ABC, and Fox are filled with endless cliche crime dramas and lame comedies instead of something like GOT...

I'm beginning to realize why Ned Stark had to die. The cycle of vengeance had to be started. Plus, Cat would have never come out from under Ned's shadow to be a major character. Same with Arya and Robb. Not only that, unless you keep killing off people you have no room for new characters. I suppose they might even have to kill off Tyrion eventually, dammit. I don't think they can kill off the Khaleesi. The Red Woman is really creepy.

They can't kill off Khaleesi since there is no other leader for her people and she cares for the dragoons and I would have to but my lust away. Yes the Red Woman is creepy.

Yes, if they killed off the Khaleesi, a million male GOT fans would throw their TVs out the window!

Well, now we know who stole the dragons. How will the Khaleesi get them back? Has Cat really killed Jamie? Who was that burnt corpse hanging in the last scene? What will the wildings do with Snow? Too much suspense...

Hard to believe that there are only 3 episodes left in 2012, April 2013 is a long ways off.
The wife thought the bodies were burnt also, I thought they were tarred. I don’t think they are the Stark boys (Bran and Rickon) but two boys from the village. Theon is quickly replacing Joffrey as the most hated character.
Not sure if Cat will kill Jamie or not. My knee jerk reaction was she would slice his face but that might be the womanly thing and she has proven she is not an ordinary woman. But killing Jamie will sure piss-off the Lanisters. We shall see.
Khaleesi is between a rock and a hard place. I predicted Xaro Xhoan Daxos had something to do with the dragon kidnapping but sure did not expect the warlock to be involved. An what a surprise the remaining 11 get their throats slit. Xaro Xhoan Daxos wants Khaleesi (who wouldn’t) and he’s going to make her a deal. She gets her dragons and Queen of Qarth, he gets her.
The Jon Snow capture is going to be interesting. Perhaps he will be able to bring the two sides together, take back Winterfelt and battle the Lanisters. But what happened to Ghost, will the wolf come to Jon’s rescue?
Also I’m thinking Theon’s father and sister are going to be really pissed at him for taking Winterfelt. Don’t remember the sister’s name but she is the second hottest woman on the show.
For Father’s day I’ve asked for the series of books. There are five total and two more are being written so we got 5 more years of suspense. I figure I can get book 1 and 2 read before April and read book 3 during the 2013 season.
I don’t remember well but I’d say this is the best made-for-TV show I’ve seen.

Obviously you have a better idea of what's going on than I do. I hadn't thought the Khaleesi would actually decide to become Queen of Qarth, but it makes some sense.
I forgot about Ghost.
It is a good day for Jaime to die.
I'd like to see what Theon's sister is up to. She could be an interesting character.
I worry about Arya. No doubt in my mind the senior Lanister knows who she is. If Jaime is killed, it could be bad.
I am studiously avoiding buying the books. I love having to wait to find out things, even if we do have to wait until April 2013...a long time. Hopefully we'll all still be here.
