JD, one moment you are on the edge of your seat and now you are apathetic? Why? If the sugar cane is more than 5 feet tall, harvest it. Abuelo could use some serious competition. Abuelo is a rum. They have a new one out that hasn't hit US shelves, but, the reviews are pretty impressive. It is going to be a pricey one. Make rum, JD. Good or bad, it sells.

Little known to most is that on top of a mountain on Dredd's Island is a shrine, and in the shrine is a crystal ball I occasionally look into. What I am seeing tonight is this: Obama will fail to get a second term, Perry/Bachmann will be the winning GOP ticket, and when he takes office corporations will start hiring again (No conspiracy; businessmen just act like lemmings) because they have been told he's "pro-business", and unemployment will go down.
Everything will be peachy. Unfortunately, I also see a crisis coming down after that, one that the Free Market will have no ability to solve, such as a natural disaster like Hurricane Katrina only bigger. There may even be a real war, but Americans will be so used to the "every man for himself" philosophy by then that we will be unable to come together to defend ourselves.
Of course my crystal ball's track record is no better than if you flipped a coin, so no need to worry...

Yes, well, I have no doubt that your crystal ball would love to see anarchy break out on the streets of America. It is easy for cowards pontificating from their comfy couch to covet, eh?

Let me see if I get this straight: Even though I have criticized the "Every man for himself" philosophy on many occasions, my real goal is "anarchy in the streets"? Plus, is it some unwritten board rule that every argument must be ended with a sentence including a personal insult? Seems so...

Most people here, including myself, just let you blather on and on an on with no comment one way or another. Knowing your extreme need for attention, I would think you would consider it a compliment that I even wasted my time.

For today's laughs, here's Malkin slamming Garafalo: www.nationalreview.com/articles/275013/patronizing-progressives-pallor-michelle-malkinThis is from a woman who got famous for writing it was cool to throw Japanese-Americans into concentration camps in WWII. (Of course Philipinos hate the Japanese) She pretends to be above racial politics, then wallows in it. Nikki's response: It is shocking to me that anyone of sane mind would not immediately condemn Garofalo's blatant condescending racist rant but instead grow an ostrich neck in an inane need to deflect from the serious sickness of Garofalo's thinking .... unless, of course, you are of a mind to be in agreement with her loony logic ... and calling Garofalo loony is a restrained understatement. MM's article, IMO, was spot on, and I am glad she and others have called Garofalo out on her lunacy.

But I bet Malkin showers and shaves. When I think of Garofalo it reminds me of oozing pus.

Ahhh...a nice evening watching "The Alamo" on the Military Channel...and waiting for my favorite part: watching John Wayne get a lance in the gut! That's even better than watching Bruce Willis get gunned down in "12 Monkeys"!

Back on the island, trying to recharge my batteries. Deadly apathy has gotten ahold of me.
