So Christie got his gut stapled so he won’t look like a fat hog in 2016. Will Hilary do the same?

www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/28/nancy-pelosi-thinks-democrats-are-coalescing-behin/It wasn’t an endorsement, but House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, said “there’s a great deal of excitement” about the prospect of former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton running for president. “I don’t know why she wouldn’t run,” Mrs. Pelosi told USA Today. “She’s prepared. She’s well-known. She’s highly respected. She knows she could do the job very, very well.” If Nancy says it, it must be true!

www.newrepublic.com/article/113709/republicans-forfeit-2016-election-hillary-clinton "The 2016 election may be far off, but one theme is becoming clear: Republican strategists and presidential hopefuls, in ways subtle and overt, are eager to focus a spotlight on Mrs. Clinton’s age. Did any Republican quoted for this article happen to catch the 2008 Democractic primary? I have another idea: Why not spend the election focusing on how Clinton dresses, make an effort to refer to her as shrill, question her likeability, and even raise the issue of whether women are too emotional for the presidency. That seems like a better strategy. For now: Mrs. Clinton’s age and appearance, of course, provide an irresistible topic for the conservative media. Matt Drudge, who takes particular delight in tracking Mrs. Clinton’s photographic ups and downs, posted a picture on his website this month showing her virtually wrinkle-free under the headline “Fresh-Faced Hillary Glows at Lincoln Center.” The radio host Rush Limbaugh, echoing his commentary from her first presidential run, asked his audience in April whether the American people “want to vote for somebody, a woman, and actually watch a woman get older before their eyes on a daily basis?” If this is anything to go by, Clinton should begin planning for her second term right about now."

Seriously, does anyone believe women will vote for a GOP candidate who will take away their reproductive rights because Hillary will be old and ugly in 2016? Heck, Reagan the Wrinkled Crypt Keeper was elected twice. Of course he was male, so maybe I'm wrong.

She's old but I believe her health is suffering. Not even a face-lift and tummy tuck can help her headaches. But I do believe Benghazi should be the single reason why she is incompetent. Will Benghazi matter, might not, liberals don't care or have very short memories.

Considering the rising popularity of Rand Paul in the GOP, it doesn't seem like foreign affairs are big for a lot of people on that side of the aisle either. Certainly foreign policy was not an issue in 2012, or 2010 for that matter. The Tea Party seems to care only about taxes. Embassies? Who needs embassies?

So Chris "Big Pussy" Christie cruised to his reelection yesterday, so I guess he is the front runner for the GOP nomination in 2016. He is considered a "moderate" by political observers, but I can't forget what a union-busting, gay bashing bozo the guy is.

Well, Big Pussy is now in political hot water because some of his staff closed some bridge. This proves that the left can generate Faux Outrage as well as the right. Gosh, I'm so outraged.

www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2014/02/bobby_jindal_religion_californ.html#incart_more_business"Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is taking his views on religion and politics to the presidential library of Ronald Reagan on Thursday (Feb. 13), where he will give remarks on what he calls a targeted assault on America's communities of faith by "the modern left." In an possible nod to legislation he may push in Louisiana this year, Jindal urged states to pass "strict scrutiny" laws regarding religious practice. "In his second trip to California in the past month, the Baton Rouge native and potential presidential hopeful will warn the conservative policy community of the next salvo in what he characterizes as the left's "silent war on religious liberty." Jindal was last in California on Jan. 25, when he met with business leaders to discuss the Affordable Care Act at a conference hosted by billionaire brothers and conservative advocates Charles and David Koch." I'm not so certain it's possible that Jindal could be a bigger Koch toady than Scott Walker, but who knows?

The Koch brothers are small potatoes compared to Soros! Soros has invested in politics in many other countries and has damaged more than a couple of their governments.

I think if you look back you'd see where I have slammed Soros in the past. I have a bad attitude about ANY billionaire who tries to have an undue influence on the political system. Plutocracy sucks.

www.nytimes.com/2014/03/03/world/europe/pressure-rising-as-obama-works-to-rein-in-russia.html?_r=0"Mr. Rubio, who opposed authorizing force in Syria, agreed that that conflict had serious ramifications for American interests. But he said the showdown in Crimea was about freedom itself and the hard-fought American victory over totalitarianism in the Cold War. In that sense, even Republicans who opposed Mr. Obama in Syria were pushing for a hard line against Mr. Putin. “The very credibility of the post-Cold War world and borders is at stake here,” Mr. Rubio said in an interview." So here is the rhetoric from the right, such as it is. Somehow this situation is about a vague "freedom itself". How about my "freedom" from having my country sucked into another unnecessary confrontation? And even lamer, Putin is threatening our "victory over totalitarianism in the Cold War". I think "victory" is also in the eye of the beholder. Sadly, Rubio is one of the right-wing blowhards who might make a run for the White House in 2016. If there is still a White House.
