I am pleasantly surprise to be in no pain today... the doc apologized when he was cutting into my groin area artery, it was tuff due to so much scar tissue there. He and I figured it would be hurting today but I woke up with nothing bothering me. I have to relax for a few days with no driving, but otherwise go for it. Maybe its all over for a while.... whew.

I hope you don't have to go through any more for a while too! I think you are like me in that I can deal with pain pretty well, it is the damn having to stay still and not move for any length of time. I need to move around! You can use the break to relax for a while, working with the bricks and other work you have been doing "between" these procedures. Knowing that you have more planned when you are able to get back to lifting some weight.

Thanks, I will check on SCORE... Quickbooks Basic at your local Costco store is the best buy. It is very simple and very intuitive as long as you are not transferring business into it to start. The only snag I had was that I had existing business to input and my Logo did not want to cooperate with the QB forms for invoicing etc. You can do yourself with minimal on line assistance or get the SCORE team involved. Most of them are retired business men/women who need the attention.

I must be getting better... I picked up 2 yards of dirt, enuff to fill the bed of my picked and squat the truck down.... and unloaded it all myself with a shovel. No stroke... no chest pains... just sore muscles tomorow, I bet.

Everyone enjoyed the new toy... even the grandkids.... after some playtime with the slot machine and then digging in the dirt I unloaded, we ate then had birthday cheesecake... mmmmm. Then Karen brings me a wrapped present... it was heavy, I am thinking a new tool. Well, it was a box full of things..... new sneakers... water shoes.... Dunkin Donuts coffee grounds.... and a half gallon of Royal Crown (thus the weight of the box). It was a good nite.

ya man... wife knows how to surprise me.... I told her not to buy me anything but the cheesecake, but no....
Funny story on the sneakers... they arent tie up ones, they have velcro to close them... identical to the ones I wear now that are at least 20 years old..... her and the kids hate them and call them old-man-sneakers... as if I care, I like them.
The watershoes are for when we go to the river near Blythe.... a$$holes toss bottles in the river and we found glass where we hang out in the water...
The Crown will replace Yukon Jack, which has made me sick the last few times I had any.
The coffee is something she has been doing since xmas, when she gave me a dozen different flavors to enjoy.

Ok so for the johng update... Have had a very hard time the last few months with layoffs and cut backs to keep things alive. Now we are swamped with new opportunities and fast track summer school projects so the smiles are back but the time is very little I won't be around much the next 3-4 months and when the rush is over I am heading back to Florida for some real R&R while researching business expansion opportunity in the Gulf Coast... There are some Snook returning to my favorite holes and they missed me last trip
