I took the felt off the pool table tonite, only to find out the new felt is TOO DAMNED SHORT!!! I will take it back tomorow. So to keep the cat off the slate, I laid out a half dozen mousetraps on top of the slate.... so the wife is standing there watching.... that worried look on her face that all us men know all too well. "Will this hurt my cat?". I asked if it hurt any of the other cats she had in the last 18 years... she said not that she knows of.... so I said good enuff and kept setting them. We will see if she gets up and sets them off as I sleep, like my kids did when they were little... hahaha

Yesterdays high was 42, windy and light rain off and on all day. Then it poured during the night totally ¾ of an inch and 35 degrees now. I’m going to be very slow getting out for work if at all.

This was a very cold storm for April. Last nights news said it snowed in Pine Valley for the first time ever in April. I’m so glad I’m behind getting crops in, this cold snap would have killed a corn crop.

A few weeks after a stress test I made the decision to lose 50 pounds in a year beginning November 1, 2008 and ultimately shed 75 pounds. I did not achieve my goal but I have stuck with eating well and taking better care. Today stepping on the scale I’ve lost 40 pounds since 2008 and it feels good. 35 pounds to go which will put me very close to high school weight. Not bad for an old fart.

I’m 6’2” and maintained my high school weight until my later 40’s then ballooned to 246. At 206 none of my pants fit anymore unfortunately I threw out all the pants that would fit. I still have a big ass. I'll be very happy in the 175-185 range.

The theobromine in chocolate is supposedly bad for dogs - but how many dogs do you know that eat mulch? ;D I do! Hahaha! My dog has a lot of weird quirks... like barking at airplane contrails. Not at the smaller airplanes that fly over our house, but the jumbos thousands of feet in the air. HAHAHA! Now that is too cute! (although I am sure it can be annoying) I wonder what your dog hears that causes it to bark at a jumbo that high. OK ... so we know not to have cocoa mulch around your dog!

It stormed like crazy here yesterday... during the day, evening and night time.
Today... it is sparkling clean, sunny and gorgeous... yet C O L D!
I went out last night and the streets were bare of traffic around 8PM PT. First time I have ever seen minimal to no traffic in Cardiff by the Sea at 8PM PT. Not even on Super Bowl, Christmas or Thanksgiving was it as ghost town-ish as it was last night.
INCREDIBLE... It was awesome and different.

Raining cats and dogs, 37 degrees and it’s nearly May. Yikes.

Raining cats and dogs, 37 degrees and it’s nearly May. Yikes. Now stop that! You brought the May haze in here a bit too early! It went from gorgeous to overcast with threats of rain from clouds coming in from over the ocean. Off to the corner young man! No sprinking rain on my sunny day!

Part 1 of the refelting is done.... all thats left is cutting in the pockets. It went easier than I thought it would. I got interupted tho before doing the pockets.... my neighbor brought over the slot machine I bought..... I got it cheap, it needs some work tho. I know diddly about slot machines, so I add this to my project list..... and to-learn list.

Can't help with that one but Yia Yia is pretty good with them...she says all you need to know about them is "Coins in - Pull Lever".

hahaha John.... ya, once I am done thats all the wife will need to know. I, on the other hand, will know this machine inside and out.
Pool table is finished, nice job if I may say so. Now to get the bricks finished in the front yard... I have 2 more days to do it.... back in the hospital Monday for the heart stents.
