Tell me what you think, what we need and deal breakers.
I want to get this right so it is used and requires little to zero moderation.

An automated means to boot fbombs and a mod to call when a troll is over the top. The chatrooms I have been in become irritated when trolls come in doing a repeat copy/paste or other commenting that drowns out normal conversation. Not to sound like a prude - but if people cannot converse without fbombing and talking like truckers - I am out of there and stay out. I appreciate heated, passionate conversations - I appreciate dissension in the ranks... but... bashing, hatefulness, etc ... it ruins the experience. Also, something needs to be done about the chat archive. How can we gossip about you when you are not around? You can walk in and see what we say and Kablooey - your feelings get tweaked and you pull the plug on us...

Much like “guest posting” 24/7 coverage is not possible but if any undesirables arrive PM one or more mods and one of us won’t be too far behind. Mods should have their preferences setup to receive an email when a PM arrives. There are two schools of thought: 1. No history - The person arriving will not know the topic and may be reluctant to jump in. 2. Show history - The user can review the post and be able to immediately participate. This would be my preference. Chatango has a “go private” option one or more can go private by invitation and the discussion is confidential. Another preference

Truckers are welcome - they just need to wash their mouths out with soap before entering the chatroom. (My brother in law, my dad, my brother's mother in law, my uncle, etc were all truckers. Some were short haul, some were long haul. The guys' mouths were not as bad as the women's mouths!)

Next time we want to gossip about you = we will private chat it. The only problem with private chats are the cootie men on this board. I will need an emoticon that carries a HUGE stick. Sort of like The Rock in Standing Tall. *GRIN*

The saying: Walk softly and carry a big stick comes to mind, cootie man. I will be talking to "The Rock" soon - I am sure he will loan me that beam. Attachments:

With everyone in such a good mood lately, it would be nice to have a chat room up and running. Now would be a good time to test one since everyone is getting along so nicely.

Turk - there are a couple of posts that have dropped off the boards.
Is it possible it is from the problems the server folks were having?
I do not rule out my end - I tend to out max my system to the point of the browser growling at me.
Yet this is about the 3rd notable post that is not on the boards. This one stands out as it got the cootie man back.

My habit is to click "preview" then click "post reply" sometimes I forget to click "post reply" and my post never gets posted.
