See, it doesn't hurt that bad to read some leftist press occasionally, does it? I read National Review, World Net Daily, Heritage Foundation and others to get your side.

Before I shower I'll read Media Matters, Huff Post, Daily Kos and listen to 3 minutes of hate from AirHead America. However there is some good contend on salon.com

I read National Review, World Net Daily, Heritage Foundation and others to get your side. You better be careful, Bruce & Comrade JO will claim that you will go blind reading such partisan material!

See, it doesn't hurt that bad to read some leftist press occasionally, does it? I read National Review, World Net Daily, Heritage Foundation and others to get your side. I read and listen, but mainly I cast the "devil's advocate" responses which generally get people to talk. I think one has to read to aggrevate the other side with their own information - which I believe is the entire pillar of Politics! I am always made to smile when I hear the notorious words - "My good friend and collegue Senator.... or Congressman/woman...."! Anytime you hear that phrase you can bet it is fair warning that "I am going to plant this knife directly into your back and salt the wound before I give it a twist". As for the fate of Iraq and it's oil rich nature - no one could possibly be surprised at an article like that regardless which side of the issue it was written. We all know the world loves Carbon Fuel and Money - the two are synonimous as is the pursuit of them.

This violence no longer can be attributed to the U.S. forces being present. These are actions directly toward the Iraqi government itself. Loyalists to Al Qaida & Saddam Hussein are thought to be responsible. These attacks seem to be taking place daily. If they continue, will Obama still remove all our troops or will he keep them there if asked by the Iraqi government? A politically tough question as it is a matter of helping a government survive or going against what he campaigned for. Wave of blasts in Iraqi capital kills at least 95 By HAMZA HENDAWI and KIM GAMEL, Associated Press Writersnews.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090819/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iraqBAGHDAD – Nearly simultaneous truck bombs struck Iraq's Foreign and Finance ministries Wednesday as a wave of explosions killed at least 95 people, bringing the weaknesses of Iraqi security forces into sharp focus less than two months after U.S. forces withdrew from urban areas. It was the deadliest day of coordinated bombings since Feb. 1, 2008, when two suicide bombers killed 109 people at pet markets in Baghdad. More than 400 were wounded in Wednesday's blasts. <snip> for more information use the link

The Liberals will not support the retention of military but Obama and the republicans are likely to - we will see just how "Divisive" Obama wishes to become.

I heard on the radio today that the Iraqi government wanted to MOVE UP the date of America's withdrawal. If my memory serves me well, every poll taken of Iraqis since the invasion show a majority of Iraqis want America to leave. If Obama takes a Republican position on leaving, he will have hell to pay from his own party.

That is what I said but with less elloquence. OK if they want us gone, move out and within days they will be completely Taliban controlled or worse Al Quaeda and all the lives lost will have been for not!
IMO this does not aid you in the position between anger and apathy my old one.

Another disturbing development in Iraq has been an apparent "crackdown" on homosexuals, not by the government but by militant Islamic groups. Bodies have been showing up of known gays all over Bagdad, some multilated. Sorry, I saw this a couple days ago and forget where.

I am surprised that this is a shocker to anyone.
Muslims do not accept homosexuality any more than they support women's rights.
That is what is so intriguing about the lefties drive to support the extremists. Do they not comprehend how drastically their lives will be changed?

The gestation and birth of a nation is long and painful, however we can no longer be the midwife. I’ve said long ago - enough, we can pack up and leave the country tonight for all I care. You can lead a country to freedom but you cannot make them partake. 100’s of 1,000’s will die upon our departure, not our fault we’ve given Iraqi enough.

They were promised "change they could believe in" and they seem hell bent on getting it - hide the straight women and children - the tweenst need to cowgirl up and let the chips fall.
