Here’s a fun scandal: “ The U.S. ambassador to South Africa accused the country of providing weapons to Russia.” Is South Africa being disobedient? They must be punished.

Zelensky’s Big Push does not seem to be making much progress yet. Give it time, I guess. But if it doesn’t start showing gains, it may be time for the US to reconsider just how much it can control world events. Of course, that would require some humility among our political leaders, which is not likely. On the other hand, Trump, for all his bluster, could chart a more isolationist path. Would he be allowed? So many special interests are invested in continuing US belligerence. We have to make the world safe for democracy, don’t we? Good luck with that.

Objectively speaking, it does look like the Good Old USA is still riding high in the world. China may be entering a Japan-like stagnation. Could have something to do with neither inviting in immigrants? Don’t know. Europe has its own problems, some of them caused by its Anti-Russian Crusade. England has special problems possibly as the result of the Bonehead Populism of Brexit. But with all the traffic on the roads and all the construction going on where I live America seems to be doing great. Is it all on borrowed money? I suspect so. We even have enough left over to bankroll Zelensky’s war. The Millennials will still be paying for that fifty years from now. Boomers can say “you’re welcome!” from their graves.

Government shutdown: Great way to advertise our way of government. China must be laughing its head off.

Neocon Niall Ferguson.makes the point that should be obvious: The only way the USA is going to have to give up world domination is because it will go broke. What’s the bad part?

Watching a video on Putin’s visit to Dubai, and then I was reading the comments, mostly not in English, but I came across a comment that made me laugh: “World tired of America”. 🤪

From the NYT: “ Iraq Condemns U.S. After Drone Strike in Baghdad”. America continues to sow the wind.

America continues its murder spree with another vengeance strike on an alleged terrorist leader (how many collateral deaths?) while a thousand private jets land for the Super Bowl for a party spree.

Meanwhile, in the middle of nowhere, the U.S. is withdrawing from Niger. On less sh$thole to drop milllions into. Only a few hundred more to go. Supposedly this is a win for Russia, but they are welcome to it IMHO.

I’d hate to be gong to Beijing carrying the albatross around my neck of American anti-China belligerence, like Blinkey is doing. What is he hoping to accomplish with our bad attitude? Maybe they will talk about TicTok. Not that Blinkey knows what it is. Of course, neither do I.
