Frankly, the most interesting thing about the Iran deal for me is whether Israel will control our foreign policies or not. It also cracks me up that it's claimed we are going to "give" Iran $150 billion dollars if the deal passes, when IT IS IRAN'S MONEY we have impounded (stolen), and that we are supposed to assume they will fund "terrorism" with it. I love propaganda, but you have to be an idiot to believe it.

www.nationalreview.com/article/422697/iran-nuclear-deal-bob-menendez-opposition"Senator Bob Menendez (D., N.J.) will announce his opposition to the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran in a stinging statement on Tuesday. “I have looked into my own soul and my devotion to principle may once again lead me to an unpopular course, but if Iran is to acquire a nuclear bomb, it will not have my name on it,” Menendez will say Tuesday afternoon, per the Washington Free Beacon. “The agreement that has been reached failed to achieve the one thing it set out to achieve — it failed to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear weapons state at a time of its choosing. In fact, it authorizes and supports the very road map Iran will need to arrive at its target.” Another DINO joins the Give War a Chance crowd. Trust me, Sen. Menendez, NOTHING will have your name on it. Except maybe the invitation to Netanyahu's celebration party when he humiliates Obama. Fox News will be bringing the champagne so you can all toast Bibi.

I think the odds are very slim.

www.nationalreview.com/article/422956/iran-nuclear-weapons-sanctions-israel-congress"Accordingly, as of today, only a preemptive military strike can block Iran from becoming a nuclear-weapons state. We can understand why politicians flee from publicly considering the military option, just as we can understand why Obama tries to shoehorn debate into a “my way or war” dichotomy. But neither wishful thinking nor outright deception can change the fundamental strategic reality. That facing reality is unpalatable politically does not mean we can imagine another reality into existence. The spinmeisters can contemplate how to “message” the point, but America must recognize the facts it faces once Congress votes." Here is John "War is Always the Only Option" Bolton telling us that with Iran, war is the only option. Are you buying this, Millennials? If so, we Boomers have a few more wars to sell you (China, Russia, IS) before we ride off into the sunset.

america.aljazeera.com/articles/2015/9/9/cruz-trump-rally-opposition-to-iran-deal.html"WASHINGTON — The political fate of the Iranian nuclear deal now seems all but assured, but that did little to tamp down the drama surrounding the agreement both inside and outside the Capitol on Wednesday. Conservative groups opposing the deal — as varied as the Tea Party Patriots, the Center for Security Policy and the Zionist Organization of America — gathered in sweltering D.C. heat on Wednesday afternoon to air their grievances at a raucous rally on the West Lawn of the Capitol. The event, attended by thousands of protesters, also featured GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz and by Cruz's invitation, his rival, business mogul Donald Trump. Israeli flags, American flags, and others bearing the “Don’t Tread Me” insignia adopted by the tea party movement flew in the air — as did apocalyptic pronouncements of what would happen if Congress approved the deal. Others waved homemade signs, including one that read “#JewishLivesMatter. Ask God.” "Trump kept his remarks brief and general, offering no specific solutions as to what to do to derail the agreement, but assuring rally-goers that the situation would vastly improve under a Trump presidency. “We are led by very, very stupid people, stupid people, and we cannot let it continue,” Trump said. “It will change — we will have so much winning if I get elected, you may get bored with winning.” The "Give War a Chance" crowd having a pep rally. But I can't wait to see what President Trump will do once he's in office. Lots and lots of explosions, I imagine. It takes lots of explosions to "win".

www.nationalreview.com/corner“The Russians launched a half a dozen drones earlier this week over Western Hamid and over Latakia,” he said. “In not one of those areas is there a single ISIS fighter. This isn’t about the Russians taking on ISIS. This is about the Russians taking over Syria and keeping Assad as a client in place. That’s what happened even as the administration sputters because it has no idea what to do.” Gosh, I didn't realize Russia is doing drone assassinations too. I guess every country is going to join in on the fun sooner than later!

I guess the Russkies got tired of sitting on the sidelines and letting America have all the fun. Airstrikes are always good for national pride. Collateral damage? Civilian casualties? Who cares? It's your heroes doing their thing!

www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/10/12/calling-obama-a-weakling-chris-christie-says-he-would-shoot-down-russian-planes-over-syria/"Languishing at the bottom in polls of the Republican presidential field, Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey ramped up his tough talk on foreign policy on Monday, calling President Obama a “weakling” and saying that the United States should threaten to shoot down Russian planes conducting airstrikes in Syria. “My first phone call would be to Vladimir, and I’d say, ‘Listen, we’re enforcing this no-fly zone,'” Mr. Christie said on MSNBC. “And I mean we’re enforcing it against anyone, including you. So don’t try me. Don’t try me. Because I’ll do it.” Mr. Christie went on to say that Mr. Putin was “punching above his weight” and called Mr. Obama “this weakling in the White House.” Ha-ha! Just when Trump is starting to get boring, here Chris "Big Pussy" Christie comes out swinging. Dogfights over Syria, sounds like fun to me. Not that the Powers-that-be would actually let him do it, but it's great campaign hyperbole as Christie tries to out-Trump Trump.

www.nytimes.com/2015/10/17/world/europe/turkey-drone-syria-border.html?&hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&module=second-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0ISTANBUL — Turkish fighter jets shot down a drone aircraft close to the Syrian border on Friday after it violated Turkey’s airspace, the military said in a statement. “An aerial vehicle of unknown origin was detected inside our airspace on the Syrian border,” the statement said, adding, “Our aircraft on patrol mission on the border fired and shot down the vehicle within the rules of engagement.” Since Russia began its military intervention in Syria on Sept. 30 with a series of airstrikes, Turkey has complained several times of incursions by Russian aircraft into its airspace. The Russians have said that the incursions were unintentional, but NATO, of which Turkey is a member, has moved to bolster the alliance’s defenses." Gosh, just think back to 2009 when Obama took office, things were starting to get really dull in the Middle East. We were pulling out of Iraq and Obama seemed ready to pull out of Afghanistan, being a member of America's "Peace" party. Instead, we stayed in Afghanistan, we are back in Iraq, the Sunnis have created a "Caliphate" upsetting the arbitrary borders drawn by France and Britain in 1919, and Assad has destroyed Syria to save himself. And now Putin is throwing gasoline on the fire! Cool. Of course, Obama has only a little more than a year before he can hand over the whole mess to a new President. Imagine the fun if we get a blowhard like Trump or Christie in the WH, guys who pride themselves on being "tough". Could get really exciting!

www.wsj.com/articles/turkey-shoots-down-jet-near-syria-border-1448356509"ISTANBUL—Turkish F-16s shot down a Russian jet fighter along the Syrian border on Tuesday, sparking fury in Moscow that threatened to undercut growing efforts to create a new international coalition to confront expanding Islamic State terrorism. The Turkish military strike, captured by dramatic video, marked the first time since 1952 that a North Atlantic Treaty Organization member has shot down a Russian plane." Uh-oh! Trouble inside the Grand Anti-ISIS Coalition! Of course, NATO has always been an anti-Russia coalition, and Russia and Turkey have been at each others throats for centuries. By the way, if you look at the alleged photos of the shoot-down, it is a Sukhoi "Fencer" that is being shot down, which is an attack aircraft, not a "fighter". Easy meat for an F-16.

www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/10/sulphur-cloud-torched-plant-kills-iraqis-161022152140398.html"At least two Iraqi civilians have died and nearly a 1,000 are being treated for breathing problems from toxic fumes released from a burning sulphur plant near Mosul, as fighting around the key city continued for a sixth day. ISIL fighters are accused of setting the sulphur plant ablaze on Thursday during fighting around al-Mishraq, which is south of Mosul, accoring to US officials and local residents. Hundreds of people were admitted to the nearby Qayyara central hospital with respiratory problems since Friday, hospital director Abdul Salam Jabbouri told Reuters news agency. No deaths had been reported at the hospital." Day six of The Big Push, and those fun-loving ISIS comedians have set a sulpher plant ablaze. That must stink! And Iraq has rejected Turkish "assistance" in "liberating" Mosul, as the Turks bomb our Kurdish allies. Pass the popcorn! This is more fun than our election. And the next President inherits it all!

www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/10/battle-mosul-iraq-forces-close-villages-161024135052576.html"Iraqi forces have fought their way into two villages near Mosul as the offensive to retake city enters its second week. Iraqi special forces began shelling ISIL positions before dawn on Monday near Bartella, a historically Christian town to the east of Mosul that they had retaken last week. With patriotic music blaring from loudspeakers on their Humvees, they then pushed into the village of Tob Zawa, about 9km from Mosul, amid heavy clashes. After entering the village, they allowed more than 30 people who had been sheltering in a school to escape the fighting. Mosul, Iraq's second largest city, fell in 2014 under the control of ISIL, or the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant group, also known as ISIS." We're in the second week of the Big Push. Our guys have not even entered Mosul yet. When they do, will ISIS fold like a cheap tent, or will this be Stalingrad? At least the Russians had some air cover, while ISIS has to deal with uncontested US airpower. We'll see what ISIS is made of.

www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/10/town-tal-afar-focus-en-route-mosul-battle-161030060800595.html"Iraqi Shia militia groups have launched an operation to retake the town of Tal Afar from ISIL and cut the armed groups's supply lines from Mosul to Syria, a spokesman said. Forces from the Popular Mobilisation Units, a paramilitary umbrella organisation dominated by Iran-backed Shia militias, had largely been on the sidelines since the operation to retake Mosul from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group was launched almost two weeks ago. "The operation aims to cut supplies between Mosul and [ISIL's de facto capital of] Raqqa, and tighten the siege of [ISIL] in Mosul and liberate Tal Afar," militia spokesman Ahmed al-Asadi was quoted by the AFP news agency as saying." So the Shia militia butchers (oh I forgot, they are our "allies" in this battle) are cutting the escape routes for ISIS fighters from Mosul. Good plan. Make sure they have to fight to the death. I have no problem with that.

So the "good guys" have finally entered Mosul, and the real fun is beginning. Or not. I guess it depends on what the ISIS fighters are made of. ONLY one dead American so far.
