SO the RNC is in my town (BOZOS GO HOME!), and of course 2016 is the main topic of conversation. Hey media! I already have the byline for the 2016 election: The Clown vs. The Crone. You can thank me later. Are all the GOP prospects clowns? As always. And all are trying to emulate the King of Clowns, that is, the Gipper.

With Slick Willy chasing skirts perhaps the present day Crone lives alone also.

It will be interesting to see if the GOP can cobble together enough of a coalition of white rednecks and suburbanites, religious folk of all races, government haters, and bosses and bankers to win the WH in 2016.

Okay thus far I’m voting for hair. Out of the four that have declared Rand Paul has the best do.

If foreign policy ends up being the major issue of the 2016 election, this could be the most fun campaign since 2004, when Karl Rove had to whip up those war loving evangelical voters to keep GW in office after his foolhardy invasion of Iraq!

www.nationalreview.com/article/418957/heavy-dose-economic-populism-santorum-launches-second-white-house-bid-julia"In an exclusive interview Wednesday afternoon with ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos, former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, who came in second to Mitt Romney in the battle for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, announced today that he is “ready” for a second shot at the White House. “It’s an exciting opportunity,” Santorum told Stephanopoulos. “To come back home, to be at a manufacturing facility, to really reconnect to what I grew up with and understood to be an America that worked, that worked for middle-income families, that created stable neighborhoods and strong families — when you see all these reports coming out, one after another, from the far left and the far right talking about how the middle of America is hollowing out and the jobs just aren’t there for the 74 percent of Americans who don’t have a college degree, families are breaking down.” "During his campaign launch Wednesday at Penn United Technologies in Cabot, Pennsylvania, Santorum was surrounded by a crowd of enthusiastic supporters from 32 states who believe in his campaign’s focus on restoring “the American dream for hardworking families.” So some Republicons did learn from the 2012 election, and are now becoming anti-Romneys, and pushing their dedication to working Americans too, not just rich ones. How sincere they are I don't know but it's an improvement.

news.yahoo.com/republican-walker-leader-2016-election-pack-iowa-230922569.html"BOONE, Iowa (Reuters) - Scott Walker, a likely Republican presidential contender who is riding high in polls in the early voting state of Iowa, was literally the leader of the pack on Saturday at a gathering of 2016 White House hopefuls. Walker, the governor of neighboring Wisconsin, joined U.S. Senator Joni Ernst at the head of a parade of about 300 motorcycle riders who traveled 39 miles (62 km)to Ernst's inaugural "Roast and Ride," a political event combining barbecue and the roar of Harley-Davidsons. The spot in front was appropriate for the new front-runner in Iowa, the state that in seven months holds the first nominating contest to pick the party's presidential candidate before the November 2016 election." I kind of hope Walker becomes the GOP candidate (though my money is still on RINO Jeb). Then we can have a real Class War campaign, with Union-bashing Walker against the Union supported Democratic candidate, whomever she is.

I suppose I can continue to whine about how our Presidential election is a big joke, or I can try to take advantage of the one time every four years that the bulk of the indifferent masses pay attention to anything political. When was the last record set for visitors to this site in one day? The day of the 2012 election, of course. Maybe we'll beat it this year. Heck, we have a lunatic on one side (Trump), and a far out there ideologue on the other (Sanders), so we might. Of course, my money is still Bush vs. Clinton, which will bore lots of people to death. Alas, Bush vs. Biden would be even worse. Biden is the new Gore in my book. So onward to November 2016, since it's the only game in town. Unless the ET's land. If only.

Is anyone still watching the debates? Does anyone think those clowns will say anything new or interesting?

Gosh darn, post-Paris the election will be diverted into a trite "who can keep us safer?" debate. Even the libs, as always when push comes to shove, start sounding like cookie-cutter Republican warmongers. Yawn.

So those rotten Iowans are finally going to their stupid caucuses tomorrow. They've had a stranglehold on the primaries for decades now. Is that why we are getting such crappy Presidents? I don't know. Nevertheless, SOMEONE will be sworn in less than a year from now. I almost hope it is a Republican, because I bet lots of bad things will happen in the next four years and they might as well get the blame.

Today is another stupid bunch of primaries in this endless primary season. I am so sick of all 4 1/2 remaining candidates. I'll be so happy when we get to the conventions.
