will this be on all pages we view/post to? or the main page?
Will there be a means to hide it if we just want the forums and not chat or chat & forums but no tweets or tweet & forums no chat ?

It all fits, but is a little busy for my old eyes. Of course, in the morning, I'm grumpy and don't like change - catch me about 5:00 and I'll be feeling much better.

That is why I was asking which pages. If those are to go on our daily postings - it is too much. The movement in Twitter is like having a flashing ad. Dizzing. Not something I would want on a posting page.

The screen is purposely cluttered I want to get a feel how much I can cram on a page and keep everything viewable. Twitter and Chat are there to test widgets from a table. So what I’m looking for - does it fit? Not content.
I did get the idea for the Twitter box from BigGovernment.com

I did get the idea for the Twitter box from BigGovernment.com Turk, Since Americans tend to read left to right - I am wondering if the position were changed to the right hand side, it might be less obnoxious? Also, It fits but the posting side feels scrunched yet the twitter box is a decent size relative to most sites.

I know nothing about "twittering" so I'll leave that to you young folks It fits and the chat box is the only one of interest to me even though no one seems to venture there? The "Scrunching of post box" will only serve to add length to Dolphie's Novels so does she get extra credit for page count?

Turk,
Have you done any testing to see how much of a resource hog the chatbox might be?
I am not sure if it is the chatbox or a couple of other potential offenders - but with a page open that has the chatbox on it, my resources were tapped.

Let’s decide on a chat box any of the three works for me. They all have advantages and disadvantages, before I spend time on configuration I’d like to see if chat is important. If folks like it and use it, then I’ll look into something permanent. Secondly where do I put it? Chat can be its own board or it can reside in a box from the main page.
From the test page I’m just wanting to know if everything fits, I know it is cluttered and things can be moved around for better viewing but before I work on a layout I want to know if everything can be seen. I’ve added even more clutter.

I’ve added even more clutter. The chat box should be un-dockable and not on every page. Sometimes it is nice to pop into a chat - but to be honest, I find myself going to Roger Hedgecock's chatroom during the time he is on. From there I either pull from here or post to here good information. I enjoy the crowd over there and the interaction with roger - thus I would not change my activity. After hours - it is nice to say something quickly - then again, will the rooms be modded, what about spammers, etc.

then again, will the rooms be modded, what about spammers, etc. Those are the things that require time and I'll wait to see if the time is justified. I suspect few will use chat. If anyone wants to research chat rooms, feel free, only wo requirements. 1. I'll need a widget 2. no popups

The chat app the majority decided on I was/am not impressed with - too buggy no support. I will look in my old data folders and look at the pros/cons and will delve deeper into recent technology. I cannot promise anything this weekend, though.

Take your time it has waited this long longer will not hurt. Keep in mind the two requirements although I should add another it needs to be free. This make post 4,000
