Fem Dem is right on. Terrorist don't win by actually winning. They win through fear. Scaring their opponent. Thats why Osama Bin Laden won when he hit the towers on 9-11. He scared the pants off our Country. He forced reasonable people to allow Cheney and Bush to disregard all that America has stood for. A war without factual reasons promoted by fear. Torture. Rendition. Spying on Americans without warrants. A prejudice against Muslums. All results of Osama Bin Laden's terror. Shock and Awe doesn't work against a few well placed terrorists. Military power doesn't displace one well placed terrorist who leaves an everlasting fear on a group of people. This is the ultimate goal of Hezbollah, Hamas and Al Queda. When you scare enough people to give up the very freedoms they live for, you are a success at being a terrorist.
What we don't really understand is that we didnt have to cost American tens of thousands of casualties and a trillion dollars by attacking Iraq to kill Saddam Hussian. We could have hired a thousand world professional hit men to do the same job. The same with Bin Laden. Is it any less moral to take out a world leader that way then to drop tons and tons of bombs on innocent civilians?

Larry to your point that all Muslums or Iranians are hezbollah you are so right. However, to the average conservative in our country, if you are a Muslum, you are a potential terrorist. Just read the articles on their web sites. World Net Daily, Townhall and Michael Savage all promote the fact that ALL Muslums are terrorists and need to be expelled and feared. They use the same fear that got Bush elected twice. "Be afraid, be very very afraid." Funny, we all remember just a few months ago this same tactic was used and America in a landslide disregarded it and now laugh at it when Republicans used it again. They logically looked at the ideologies of the last 8 years, that of what McCain/Palin brought to the table and voted for a Democrat. America I love you for seeing the truth.

Not sure how to start new thread. Also are e-mail alerts coming later? Dale from the “SD Scene General Board” screen there are two bluish bars top and bottom of the subject box, it is small but you will see the icons “ Mark as read”, “ New Thread”, and “ New Poll.” I have not seen anything in the documentation regarding email alerts. I have a list of questions for technical support and will add that. Thanks p.s. From the home screen there is a section “Notices and Announcements” feel free to post your questions there in the topic “Questions for the Moderator,” I am apt to miss question in the general board. sandiegoscene.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=noticesannouncements

Fred Thompson??? The man who couldn't find the time to show up for his own Presidential campaign?? The man who BORROWED from the Fed Government to run a campaign that he never attended is going to tell us how wrong WE are??? During his short lived Presidential campaign he is the same candidate who praised George Bush, of course, before Conservatives admitted that we had an economic crisis. Remember until November the Bush White House wouldn't admit that we were in a severve downturn or a recession and we all remember the McCain's claim that the economy was strong. Poor sad Fred Thompson, a man who failed at even attending his own campaign. Good video Dale, we are all stunned that Fred Thompson can talk. It was just for fun Freds part of those who created the messIMO

dj & Larry have often mentioned following constitutional law and correctly so. Many have believed that this country has adhered to the constitutional law quite well, when in fact, this country has been departing from it for quite some time (by both parties). Most people don't really have a any idea what constitutional law is but believe that the majority rules. That belief is troubling and has really been apparent recently during the election, particularly concerning Prop. 8. Another concern that I have is Obama's comments about Supreme Court candidates and qualities he desires (over constitutional law). I wish you take that comment without thinking that I am making a political statement against Obama. I believe both parties have been taking this country on the wrong course. But Obama's comments about those future candidates, if he holds to it, will divert this country even further away from being a Republic. This country was founded as a Republic, as stated by Benjamin Franklin and not a Democracy! The following link is a very basic, easy to follow course on government. It explains governments, not in terms of parties, but in types of governments. Our government has already started changing and how the next 5-10 years will be extremely important. Especially in how our government responds to the current economic crisis and what the people demand during that time. The people voted for change and are empowering our government to bring change. But will it be what the people want? The video is about 10 minutes long. Watch it and then think where you thing this country is at and where it is going. YES, we need change, but is it the change we are going to get? The power needs to be returned to the people! www.wimp.com/thegovernment

I saw today that Sarah Palin thinks that Caroline Kennedy is being treated different then her. Well Duh Sherlock.
When you spend all day attacking people and you yourself have abused the system and are inadequete at best, are you really surprised.
She appealed to only the very far right nut cases. Not to the mainstream America. Obama appealed to regular people, everyday Americans. You saw the types that she drew to her events. The backwoods, trailer class of white people.

Any republicans with REAL VALUES AND REPSONSIBLITIES jump off the republican ship and become independants or democrats. This would leave the ignorant, blind sheep that adore the Sean Hanity , Karl Rove hate america republican party. I forgot to mention TRAILER TRASH QUEEN SARAH PALLIN !! THAT IS WHAT IS LEFT OF THE GOP !!!

Yes,both of you(Jack Oliver and vor) are correct. There seem to be reasonable Republicans and then the far-right types. Many of the reasonable ones are jumping ship.A friend of mine who had never voted Democrat in his life(his first vote was for Goldwater in '64) voted for Barack Obama this time around. The far-righters refuse to listen to anything that is counter to their views.

The fringe on both sides will never participate in the healing process. My presidential voting history consist of voting for one democrat and two republicans, otherwise I threw my vote away and voted in protest. I consider myself right to far right of center fiscally and center to very left of center socially, hard to find pigeon hole that I can fit it.

WHY ARE REPUBLICANS AFRAID OF HEARING BOTH POINTS OF VIEW ON THE RAIDO? WHY? No fear at all: Since the MSM is only presents the liberal view, we have to listen to conservative radio to get the other side MSM (liberal view) +Radio (conservative view) _________________________ = Balanced View
