Saint Oliver..I like the sound of that !!!
Your new board here CM is pretty cool.. You know I just try and get republicans and independants to admitt about their parties failures. I do that with the intent of having at least some of us hear to not believe all the political propaganda that is fed to all of america every day. VOR has stated that dems police themselves, and for the most part I agree, but the dems have some twinkies up their also.
I will say this, IMO, the damage the republicans have done is far more mortal than any dems little scandal. IMO.

Isn't it interesting that those who want the "Fairness Doctrine" are the FIRST to censor! Oh yes the msm dunces and their abject failure to confront Anne Coulter and demand that she recant! But facts are facts and the left cannot mount even the most superficial of arguments, so they resort to censorship! The media and the alphabet networks have marginalized themselves into oblivion!

Sorry to disagree with you Lou, but the fairness doctrine DOES NOT CENSOR. THAT IS A BIG LIE FROM THE GOP SMEAR MACHINE
you can believe what ever you want, this is a free country. people even have the right to believe Pallin could be president, but i digress.
the fairness doctrine just gives equal time to opposite points of view so the listeners get both sides of the story, not just one sided GOP lies and talking points. AND SINCE THESE REPUBLICAN RADIO HOSTS ARE COWARDS TO NOT LET CALLERS GIVE THEIR OPPOSITE OPINIONS, HALF OF AMERICA IS NOT GETTING HEARD.
AND SORRY TO BURST YOUR BUBBLE, BUT THE RADIO AIR WAVES ARE THE PUBLIC AIRWAVES, NOT GOP MONOPOLY AIRWAVES.
Im sure if the dems monopolized the airwaves and shut down republican callers like Prck Roberts and Sean Hannity do to dems, if the dems did this, republicans would scream bloody murder and impeach someone.
GIVING EQUAL TIME TO BOTH SIDES IS NOT CENSORING BECAUSE BOTH SIDES SPOKE.

Come on Jack Oliver there is nothing fair about the fairness doctrine, it is called competing, if you want opposing views get your own station, oh sorry, you guys already try that with Air America and no one would buy the product no even the dems. In other words if you can not compete change the law, ummmm this is still America isn’t it?

So when are MSN, Cnn and all the MSM going to start presenting both sides? No doubt you are one of those that thinks Hannity or Limbaugh gives you the news.Nothing could be further from the truth. They give you a jaundiced, right wing view of the news.If you want torelly know what is going on,read both Newsmax and the Huffington Post. The truth is probably somewhere in between. Speaking of media,it looks like the U-T may be gone in a few years.Anyone else notice the Business Section and the classifieds are one section now. ;D

Appartently there are two groups considering purchasing the UT, one I believe was the North County Times, you can expect one way or another the UT will be history in the near future.
