If Trump pulls off defanging Little Kim, my hat is off to him. I guess I shouldn't be surprised threats work.

If Trump pulls off defanging Little Kim, my hat is off to him. I guess I shouldn't be surprised threats work. Did you take your hat off? Yes I did. If the Dumbocrats are saying he's not tough enough on Kim, he must be doing something right. The silver lining in having an unhinged President is that sometimes he can think out of the box.

If we wait until we have a perfect deal we will never do anything. Iran was an agreement that only had to be better than nothing. One of the concessions was the 100 million or so we gave them. We gave them back their own money and used it as a bargaining chip. The kind of deal you would think Trump would like. The military and intelligence communities think it was worth keeping. Clearly it was not perfect, and unfortunately with Iran you never negotiate with the ayatollah, who has the final work, and every agreement is tenuous because they issue a fatwah and the deal is dead. Korea is not a perfect deal either. But giving up the military training with South Korea was a concession that was more important to North Korea than it was to us. I think Trump has made bigger promises to adult film stars and former Playboy models. Trump used the currency that matters most. He fed the rocket man's ego. Probably should have thrown in a possible future appearance on the apprentice for Kim, but again this deal only had to be better than nothing and it has the potential to be that and more. Nobody knows how this agreement is going to work going forward, but it was going nowhere before the summit. Little early to proclaim victory, but way too early to call it a defeat.

www.nytimes.com/2018/07/23/opinion/democratic-party-race-ocasio-cortez-economics.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-right-region®ion=opinion-c-col-right-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-right-region"If I had to advise on a Democratic narrative I’d start with three premises: First, by 2020 everybody will be exhausted by the climate of negativism and hostility. Second, the core long-term fear is American decline; are we losing our mojo? Third, communities and nations don’t come together when they talk about their problems; they come together when they do something on behalf of their children. Maybe the right narrative could be rebuilding social mobility for the young: America is failing its future. We need to rally around each other to build the families, communities, schools, training systems and other structures to make sure the next generation surpasses this one. People are doing this at the local level, and we need a series of unifying projects to make national progress. This story pushes people toward reconciliation. It is future-oriented. It points to a task that we urgently need to undertake. But who knows what will work. We’re walking into the unprecedented."
Here is Mr. Can't-we-all-get-along with another sermon on healing America's wounds. He is assuming, of course, that we need to heal them. Maybe we need wounds to motivate the apathetic out of their coma. And is our long-term fear "losing our mojo"? WTF? Isn't that the idea behind Trump's moronic "Make America Great Again"? Does that mean we should continue to try and dominate the world? Now THAT is a long-term losing proposition. And should we be looking for "reconciliation"? Should the left reconcile with evil? A philosophical question. Perhaps defeating evil is the best thing we can do "on behalf" of our children.

To call the mainstream press today “fake news” is missing the point. More insidiously the press today is a weaponized propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. While my more liberal friends may enjoy the slavish devotion of lapdog “journalists,” in the long run it hurts us all.

I guess I will fall back on something I said many years ago: If you are far enough to the right, all media seems left wing. It's a matter of physics.

Least terns, which are protected by the federal government under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, often lay their eggs on wide-open beachfronts, digging shallow nests beneath the sandy surface. Frankly, mine is Truman even more than Nixon. Trump? He is too ludicrous to hate.
