[quote author=" jdredd" source=" FAKE NEWS ALERT! NYT IS FAKE NEWS! SDS DOES NOT CONDONE FAKE NEWS! "WASHINGTON — The morning, at least, seemed to go reasonably well for President Trump. He announced a new F.B.I. director, and two intelligence chiefs told Congress the president had never pressured them to interfere in the investigation into Russian election meddling. And then James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director who was fired by Mr. Trump last month while leading an investigation into the president’s associates, dropped the hammer. By authorizing the immediate release of the opening statement he plans to give in his much anticipated appearance before a congressional committee on Thursday, he instantly changed the conversation back to his assertion that the president tried to shut down part of the F.B.I. investigation. Mr. Trump may be relatively new to Washington, but Mr. Comey is not. A savvy veteran of the capital who has worked in high positions in multiple administrations, he has usually emerged on top in any internal power struggle. And in the month since his dismissal, Mr. Comey has shown why presidents are normally loath to fire F.B.I. directors." I don't care if this guy is pro or anti-Trump, he's still a Boomer dirtbag (b.1960).[/quote]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Sessions"An early supporter of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, Sessions was considered as a possible Vice Presidential nominee, but Indiana governor Mike Pence was ultimately selected for the ticket. In November 2016, then-President-elect Donald Trump nominated Sessions for US Attorney General. He was confirmed on February 8, 2017, with a 52–47 vote in the Senate, and was sworn in on February 9. In his Attorney General confirmation hearings, Sessions said that he did not have contact with Russian officials during the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. In March 2017, news reports revealed that Sessions had twice met with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak in 2016. Sessions subsequently recused himself from any investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election while some Democratic lawmakers called for his resignation." Another rotten Boomer(b.1946),he is now testifying to the Senate. No doubt Trumpty Dumpty is listening in to make sure he is being a loyal toady. Otherwise, "You're Fired!"

So tuned into Boomer blowhard Rush patting himself on the back for being on the radio for 29 years, going on 30. Yes, 29 years of dismal propaganda. But the question now is, how much longer? I suppose it's possible that he will continue into his 90's, like another blowhard, Paul Harvey, did. But so many of Rush's audience are dropping dead in their elder care homes every year it's hard to say how long corporate radio will keep him on the air.

www.nytimes.com/2018/11/23/world/europe/hillary-clinton-migrants-immigration-europe.html?action=click&module=MoreInSection&pgtype=Article®ion=Footer&contentCollection=Europe"ROME — When Hillary Clinton warned in an interview this week that Europe’s centrist leadership needed to “get a handle” on migration, or risk further fanning the flames of populism, some wondered where she had been the last few years. “We already did this,” said Italy’s former center-left interior minister, Marco Minniti, when asked about the comments. “She is talking about another era.” Unauthorized migration to Europe has already fallen by around 90 percent since the height of the Continent’s refugee crisis in 2015, when more than a million asylum seekers, mainly from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, crossed into Greece and Italy. That precipitous drop is due in large part to Europe’s centrist leadership. On Friday, facing some backlash for her remarks, Mrs. Clinton said in a series of tweets that it was precisely a centrist approach that she was advocating." Hillary may have already been inducted into the Hall of Shame, but I'm putting her in now anyway. Ideas never die, even bad ones, and I thought Clintonism died in 2016, but here she is again, sounding herself like a Deplorable.

www.nytimes.com/2018/11/30/us/politics/trump-china-trade-xi-michael-pillsbury.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage "Ubiquitous on Fox News in recent months, Mr. Pillsbury’s book “The Hundred-Year Marathon: China’s Secret Strategy to Replace America as the Global Superpower” has become a lodestar for those in the West Wing pushing for a more forceful response to the threat that China’s rise poses to the United States. “We could not have shifted the entire apparatus to this confrontational mode with China if it wasn’t for the intellectual architecture of ‘A Hundred-Year Marathon,’” said Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s former chief strategist who recruited Mr. Pillsbury as an adviser during the transition and used to hand out copies of his book around the White House. The book, which was published while Mr. Pillsbury was advising the Obama administration as a Pentagon consultant, presents an apocalyptic view of China as a clever enemy with a stealthy plan to overtake the United States as the dominant world power by 2049 — a century after the People’s Republic was founded." Here is one of the Boomer scumbags pushing us into a war with China, trade or otherwise. Anybody got a rope? You millennials will be sorry you didn't do something.

Ryan Zinke is getting his star on the Boomer Walk of Shame, as one of the architects of drilling in the Arctic Wildlife Refuge. I wonder if he is the first SEAL in here? Not too surprising he is a son of Montana.

www.nytimes.com/2019/04/20/us/militia-arrest-border-new-mexico.html?action=click&module=Well&pgtype=Homepage§ion=US"Still, such denunciations were far from unanimous in the state. A prominent New Mexico Republican, Gavin Clarkson, a former Trump administration official who is now running for United States Senate, met with masked members of the group in March and praised their efforts, according to a video of the encounter uploaded to Facebook. But Mr. Clarkson said on Twitter on Saturday that he condemned militia activities. “Masked militiamen are the antithesis of what a free republic looks like,” he said. Jim Benvie, a spokesman for the militia, did not immediately respond to requests for comment about the arrest of Mr. Hopkins. The F.B.I. said in a statement that the police department of Sunland Park, N.M., had assisted with the arrest. Mr. Hopkins, 69, is scheduled to appear on Monday in Federal District Court in Las Cruces, N.M." Here is a dirtbag Boomer whos nefarious activities are on hold. For now. And unsurprisingly he has Republican connections.

www.nytimes.com/2019/04/23/opinion/trump-immigration-border-wall.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage"Without a high wall, too many Americans will lack confidence that we can control our borders, and they therefore will oppose the steady immigration we need. But for this wall to have a big gate, it has to be a smart and compassionate one, one that says, “Besides legitimate asylum seekers, we’ll accept immigrants at a rate at which they can be properly absorbed into our society and work force, and we’ll favor visa seekers with energies and talents that enrich and advance our society.” That’s the opposite of the unstrategic, far-too random, chaotic immigration “system” we have now. That’s been a “system” in which millions of people could cross into our country illegally or overstay their visas. Or cross over and claim asylum and then melt into society while awaiting their hearings. Or bring in their family members through family reunification programs. And that’s no matter their possible impact on communities and social welfare resources or their ability to assimilate and contribute to society." I wasn't sure if Thomas Friedman (born 1953) was on the side of Darkness or Light, even though he's been writing for the NYT since 1981. But now I know, because he is pro-wall, he has gone over to the Dark Side.

www.nytimes.com/2019/04/30/opinion/trump-stephen-moore.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage"The drama of Stephen Moore, Donald Trump’s controversial not-yet-nominee for a seat on the Federal Reserve, is a nice microcosm of the larger drama of conservatism in a Trumpian age. In the monetary policy debate that lurks behind the Fed battle, you can see some of the reasons for Trump’s political success. In the Moore appointment itself you can see the limits of Trumpism as an ideological program. And in the reaction to the appointment from Republican politicians you can see why the party may be destined to repeat its Trump-era experience, and also how it might avoid that fate." "But so long as Moore’s nomination is in trouble, there is an opportunity here for some entrepreneurial senator to push the White House in a new direction — toward the actual institutionalization of the president’s better instincts, rather than just the appointment of hacks who flatter him. For it will have profited conservatism nothing to have surrendered to Trump’s rebellion, if all it gains in the end is another decade submitting to the imaginary “expertise” of hacks like Stephen Moore." Even a rightie like Ross Douthat knows Moore (b.1960) is worthless.

The latest star on the Boomer Hall of Shame belongs to Victor David Hanson (b. 1953). Now that Krauthammer has passed, I think VDH has a shot at being King of the Hill in righty Boomer punditry.

www.nytimes.com/2019/08/10/nyregion/jeffrey-epstein-suicide.html?action=click&module=Top%20Stories&pgtype=Homepage"Mr. Epstein, a former money manager with Wall Street experience, depicted himself as a wealthy financier with stellar investment savvy. In addition to his homes in Florida and New York, he also owned a private island in the United States Virgin Islands, a massive ranch in New Mexico and a residence in Paris. He had numerous high-end vehicles and access to private planes and helicopters." I would call him a cliche Boomer Hippie-turned-stockbroker but I don't think he was ever a hippie. Most Boomers weren't.
