I wish. But the revolt I'm talking about is not aimed at you conservatives, or at least it shouldn't. You are honest in your opposition to Health Care Reform. It's the Joke Liebermans and Barack's caving in to his ilk that many on the left are angriest at. No one likes to be betrayed. So what will we do about it? Probably nothing, we are as docile and law-abiding as you are, I believe. But you never know, do you?...

Well, what is the deal? Why is America suffering under what appears to be the third turkey President in a row? Is it because we let Iowa decide who will be the next President? Something is rotten here. And do I believe any of the potential GOP candidates mentioned so far for 2012 are any better? Not from where I sit, they all look like dim bulbs. We're f**ked.

Well, if it continues on the way it is now, there may be an armed insurection.... or not. Not many have the stomach for what it would take, most would roll over for whatever comes.

Here's a thought: You righties are frustrated, but you probably would never revolt. Why? It would be bad for business. We lefties don't care. Our problem is, we don't like guns.

Interesting, the unintended consequences of Obama - In spite of Obama, the folks unite. No one on this board has any question where I stand, but to be honest I’m disappointed also. I had my quite times, “okay maybe I’m wrong - Obama really will unite the country, maybe I just got the guy wrong.” Honest I had my times, I wanted this to work.
Wifey and I had the discussions, “One guy can’t really tax us to the point, where we have to be concerned of our future.” Yup, I’m in it for myself but there are 100,000’s of us that are in a similar position, I worked damn hard to be who I am. Wifey and I are wrong, one guy, one administration can destroy us and the core fabric of a nation and destroy you too.
I know how much you hate sports; but I must use a sports analogy. When winning eludes - the team, the individual returns to the basics. The basics for us (America) is our constitution. And I’ll add - America first, not much different than a parent, the parent first. If America or the parent isn’t healthy then no one else is. We gotta take care of us, then we are in a position to take care of others and must keep the momentum going.
Times are difficult and Obama did inherit a mess. Solutions are important but so is a leader, Obama is a salesman, Obama is not a leader, Obama has the title of president but Obama will never be president.
Most of us have disappointment, think what you will of the polls but it’s pretty clear the salesman has lost his luster. For more proof, Obama has become fodder for the late night comedians, just another president. Disappointment!
However, I think this is a great opportunity for both sides; we the folks come together and vote the bums out. Easier said than done, we still have to agree on one thing and if we agree on the base, WE can make a difference.
You can cherry pick any sentence I just wrote and offer up a debate but your frustration is the same as mine, so when you get right down to it we would then be arguing with ourselves.
Likewise I believe your side is law abiding and believes as intensely as my side. One of us is 100% wrong or one of us is xx% wrong, fill in the blank.
I think I’m rambling and probably missed by a mile what you wanted to discus, what else is knew; lastly I’d encourage you to check out some of the everyday folks that are out there ready to serve and respect the basics, not a salesman to be found.
Conciliation begins at the beginning.

You underestimate the righties - just like the politicians do. There are many avenues towards revolting... wait, watch, learn.

Conciliation begins at the beginning. Very well said, Turk. I do believe we all must go back to our roots and heal. That is what is occurring with the USA. We do need to vote out ALL of the bums who turned their backs on the people and decided to not listen to the very folks who trusted them to do the best job they were being paid to do. Instead, they embezzled, stole, ransacked and destroyed that which the people had entrusted them with.

Nah, you are right on the money, T.
"There are many avenues towards revolting... wait, watch, learn."

The People need to join together and vote the bums out to send a very strong message. Those seats in the PEOPLE'S capitol have become to warm and cozy for these arrogant and corrupt baspersons!

Maybe a little corruption is not so bad but what I can’t deal with is the culture of disconnect that politics have become. There is going to be person after person like Alan West in 2010 that will turn polls and the election around like we have not seen. Revolt, well not one of guns and knives, what we might see is the 60's 10's of thousands marched on DC, kinda of funny 40+ years later I'm ready to march again.

Ecclesiastes 3:3 KJV A time to kill , and a time to heal ; a time to break down , and a time to build up ;
I said the left doesn't like guns, but we do like to break things...

Since I brought up disconnect, the left, the media, will fuel the disconnect by criticizing the “Tea Party” movement, that strategy pisses a lot of people off and I for one dig my heels in deeper.
Nikki is right they are arrogant and corrupt baspersons. Arrogance runs through Obama’s veins.
Ecclesiastes 3.3 I think it’s an important scripture, it gives one permission to defend and protect.
We’ve killed, we are broken down, it is a time to build, but it is going to be a long time to heal, a long time before we look at the scars and can say they don’t hurt anymore

What I would like to see is a part time congress.... maybe 4 weeks per year... unpaid other than expenses maybe. No carreers.... just work then go home. Someone else said to pull the congress like a jury pool.... pick them, they serve then they go home.
