Thanks VOR for providing the difference between liberal and conservative talk radio. HOpefuly some will see the difference.
CM- My point is this.
if the internets belong to the world, then no corporation should be allowed to control it by buy bandwith or whatever as mentioned above.
if the radio airwaves belong to the public, then no corporations or political parties should be allowed to by most licences to control it.
very plain and black and white.
they both belong to the public.
If some believe it is legal for our radio airwaves to be controled like this , then so should the internet...
very simple, very black and white.....sorry. If they both belong to the public, then niether should be perverted by the so called FREE MARKET. what a cheasy excuse....
You cant have it both ways.

The internet does not belong to the public it belong to no one. That is why it is pure. The public does not own the internet.

CM- here we go....just like the old days. just kiding OK, if the internet does not belong to no one, then who cares, let the FREE MARKET runs it's course right? So then , Who owns americas airwaves? Basicaly my point is, do we let the free market run both of them or not? You and I know , and VOR, since we are all ex or current IT guys, we know the radio airwaves is a form of communication. Just like the internet. why should they both be treated differently? This realy is black and white to me. to break it down,,,why do we license cars and motorcyles even though they are both different? I know thats a lame example but I hope you get my point. they both are a form of transportation. the internet and radio are both a form of communication. anyone who controls them, controls information, kinda like talk radio huh...

The reason why I suggested you read up on public airwaves is because your argument is opposite ends.
If I have a big red balloon, fill it with helium and release it. The balloon begins to circle the global, everyone sees it, everyone touches it, but the balloon is free to travel where it might. No one owns it, no one controls it.
There are no connections with your argument and the internet. Your argument is like, let’s talk about the war in Iraq, but wait a minute, what about Palin’s high heels. Your points are that far apart.
Let the balloon remian free

So is TV, newspapers and magazines. So is standing on the street corner screaming at the top of your lungs. So what? To make a point you need to connect the dots.
Palin went to Iraq thus her high heels have been to Iraq then we should debate high heels and the military. Connect the ...............
Have a good two days off, not sure I will be around on Sunday. We can pick this up next week. Take care
