I was going to post one more bellicose anti-China column from the NYT today to criticize, but now I'm thinking, why bother? I've already warned the Millennials many times that they were going to pay for the rotten Boomer's drumbeat for war. As someone who is skeptical of Free Will, I guess I know they are both puppets of forces beyond anyone's control. Tolstoy would agree.

www.newsmax.com/politics/cotton-china-decoupling/2021/02/19/id/1010794/"Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has called for the United States to ''decouple'' from China, saying it should revoke its permanent normal trade relations status and take the same strategy as it has against the Soviet Union for what his report calls the ''breakup or the gradual mellowing'' of the ''Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) power.'' Cotton announced his push during a speech at the Reagan Institute in Chicago on Thursday while unveiling a report compiled by him and his office, ''Beat China: Targeted Decoupling and the Economic Long War.'' ''The will and need to confront Communist China is growing,'' he said. ''Now it’s time for action.'" Here's a far right senator who is also a Gen X'er trying to whip up confrontation with China. Once again, will the Millennials or Gen Z buy it?

www.nytimes.com/2021/03/27/opinion/sunday/fertility-population-baby-bust.html?action=click&module=Opinion&pgtype=Homepage"The declining American birthrate is a frequent preoccupation of this column, and over the years that I’ve been writing about the problem it’s only gotten worse, with the apparent Covid-19 baby bust a punctuation mark. But with the pandemic’s end inspiring various forms of optimism, hopes of faster growth and scientific breakthroughs, it’s worth considering what optimism about the future of fertility might look like. Because if you assume that dynamism and growth are desirable things (not everyone does, but that’s a separate debate), then for the developed world to be something more than just a rich museum, at some point it needs to stop growing ever-older, with a dwindling younger generation struggling in the shadow of societal old age." "This is the ideal scenario for pronatalist liberals, because it would mean more kids without more social conservatism. The second scenario for a fertility recovery, though, involves exactly that: a kind of neo-traditionalist turn, answering the socially liberal swing of the last two decades, that leads to people marrying earlier and having more kids for reasons of values rather than just economics. Something like this arguably happened in the Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton years. U.S. birthrates fell precipitously during the social revolutions of the 1960s, but they stabilized and began to rise again, nearing replacement level in the 1990s, a trend that overlapped with a modest religious recovery and a mild backlash against liberalism. (And also, as I noted last week, with the Meg Ryan-Julia Roberts silver age of the romantic comedy.)" Really, Ross? Meg Ryan? But I remember the 90's when aerospace companies were working as hard as they could to lay off older workers and hire Gen Xers. And what exactly is the incentive to have babies? Religion, as Ross claims? Nationalism? In a society where it's every man for himself, what does anyone expect? And frankly, I think people are starting to realize the last thing the Earth needs is more humans.

www.nytimes.com/2021/07/09/climate/marine-heat-wave.html?action=click&module=Well&pgtype=Homepage§ion=Climate%20and%20Environment"Dead mussels and clams coated rocks in the Pacific Northwest, their shells gaping open as if they’d been boiled. Sea stars were baked to death. Sockeye salmon swam sluggishly in an overheated Washington river, prompting wildlife officials to truck them to cooler areas. The combination of extraordinary heat and drought that hit the Western United States and Canada over the past two weeks has killed hundreds of millions of marine animals and continues to threaten untold species in freshwater, according to a preliminary estimate and interviews with scientists. “It just feels like one of those postapocalyptic movies,” said Christopher Harley, a marine biologist at the University of British Columbia who studies the effects of climate change on coastal marine ecosystems." Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I'm not seeing anyone changing their behavior. Will it affect how people vote? Doubtful, so who cares?

I never really heard Millennial Ben Shapiro talk before, and all I gotta say is, could he talk any faster? Maybe you should cut back on the coffee, Ben. Or my ears are getting old. Probably the latter.

The fact that a buffoon climate change denier like Larry Elder can even have a shot at governor shows how little progress is being made in addressing the problem. And I don’t see Millennials taking the lead in environmental issues, even though they are going to pay the price for Boomer environmental crimes. I also wasn’t aware Larry was a Boomer geezer born the same year I was.

As I’ve no doubt said before, I had high hopes the Millennials would be a generation that would change thongs, but it appears they are just like their parents and grandparents. They buy into toxic consumerism and militarism. Oh well, I’m not going to be here when the sh#t hits the fan, I hope.

Well, I might be here when the sh#t hits the fan. But I’m old and you Millennials could die young and still oblivious.

To repeat myself: Hey, you stupid Millennials! Those corrupt Boomers running the world are driving us toward nuclear annihilation, and what have you got to say? Nothing!

Came across Millennial Chris Rufo. He’s making his name as a White Nationalist anti-CRT activist. Disney was one of his targets, since you know they are a nest of pedophiles.

So SCOTUS now says the EPA has very little authority to regulate emissions. Instead, it should be left to our dysfunctional Congress. As for climate change, I’m probably with the bulk of other Boomers who don’t give a rats ass because we aren’t going to be here much longer. I might feel sorry for you if you didn’t seem as indifferent as we are. Why, I don’t know.

So the Supreme Court cut back on the EPA’s ability to fight climate change. Not that Millennials will wake up from their search for the Holy Grail, that is, home ownership to notice. Better buy one with a really good AC and its own source of water. Of course none of it will matter if the Boomers get us into WWIII. Not that any of them is listening to an Old Left guy like me.

Locks like the Millennials and Gen Z broke to the left, turning the Red Tsunami into Red Ripple. Why? I’m not sure, being a Boomer who has been opposing talk radio, which I don’t think they listen to, thank God, even with a new generation of right wing blowhards. Of course, as always, people move to the right as they age, trying to protect what the have accumulated I assume. Still, it’s cheering to see them not buying the right’s narrative at the moment. Now if they can just avoid getting incinerated because of the Boomer’s war in the Ukraine.

One more name in the parade of new right wing Millennial voices: Vivek Ramaswamy. How will he fare in the intense competition? Is he a Neocon? His interview with JBP didn’t cover that. It was mostly about being anti-woke.

Read a little more about Millennial blowhard Matt Walsh, the self-appointed expert on sexual identity.. I read his bio on Wiki and the thing that stood out to me is his opinion that “anime is Satanic.” Does he really expect to win the Cultural War thinking like that?
