So Biden will get the blame for Afghanistan even though he is the fourth President having to deal with George W’s big blunder. Not that I care, he is the fifth dickhead President in a row. And definitely a one-termer. Joe can't be worried about Afghanistan there's no money in it for him or his miserable piece of garbage son. Joe is responsible for the safety of all the American's he's abandoned while on vacation. Joe is also responsible for the lies he's told regarding the readiness of Afgan troops. Reagan would have hit the Taliban hard, Joe sleeps.

While I can understand why Biden didn’t start evacuating sooner, because he didn’t want to be accused of defeatism, I still think he should throw himself on his sword and resign. All the better to get our first woman President in the WH.

Looks like Slow Joe is the Anti-Reagan. Trump may or may not be the worst thing that ever happened to the Republicans, but Biden might be the worst thing that ever happened to the Democrats.

I’m sure lots of people on the right hate Biden now. Personally, I never hated Trump. Especially so since he has a screw loose.

So Biden has started a new military alliance with Australia an UK. All English speaking countries. Was Brexit an influence with this? What about Japan? France is certainly peeved since they were contracted to sell Australia conventional submarines, and now the US will sell them nuclear ones I believe. All to get into China’s face. Obviously the US is expecting a long, lucrative confrontation with China.

Biden’s crude stabbing of France in the back makes Trump look like Mr. Diplomacy.

Ok, now I’m feeling sorry for the Senile Codger in Chief. I never defended Obama the Con Man, but Biden needs people willing to take up the challenge of defending him. Or not.

Ha-ha! Things are going to hell in a hand basket under President Dementia! So much for the Democratic Gerontocracy. But I did hear something actually credible on talk radio today: There is a schism between the pro-Kamala Democrats and the pro-Biden Democrats, which would explain why the Prez is hanging in there despite being well past his expiration date. If Biden manages to stay vertical until 2024, will they find a way to dump Kamala? Not that I care, I’m not a Democrat. But it is amusing that this is happening in a party that claims to be anti-misogyny, but then it also falsely claims to be anti-war.

Biden is just making it too easy to denigrate Democrats. Of course, who cares about those Commie baspersons?

So Al Sharpton is said to have gone to the WH to advocate for Kamala. I’d love to be able to listen to what is said behind closed doors. But is more evidence of the rift between Biden and Kamala.

Old Ross in the NYT brings up the idea that we may be setting up for a replay of 1980, with a new Reagan Era on the way with Biden playing the part of Jimmy Carter. Is it possible? Anything Is possible. But their may be too many changes that have happened in the USA to bring back those conservative glory days. The Greatest Generation was still with us in big numbers in 1980, and now they are almost gone, replaced by Boomers, a whole different breed that does not seem to have earned the respect of succeeding generations. For good reason. Who could respect the Rush Limbaugh generation? And I’m not sure that young people will respond to the anti-Commie dog whistle like the Boomers did. War, of course, could change everything like it usually does, but I’m not sure the Millennials and Zoomers will willingly become cannon fodder like most Boomers did. Meanwhile, let the right have its Little Red Wavegasm in 2022, for all the good it might do them.

This thread mercifully got buried, but now there are some who are praising Biden’s “leadership” on the Ukrainian crisis. Nothing like a war to redeem a bad President.

I never had much good to say about Reagan, except for one thing: He didn’t get us into a war.

Just when I thought this thread was dead, good old Mr.Brooks in the NYT writes a column telling Biden he should run a Reaganite campaign of positivism, a Democratic “Morning in America”. Might work. Then again, 2024 is not 1984. The Greatest Generation is gone. Biden is not the Jolly Grandpa as Reagan was to the Boomers. While Reagan was gung-ho for the Cold War, he didn’t get us involved in two wars (Ukraine and Gaza, both fueled by American munitions). Did Reagan deserve a second term? I guess so, but Trump is not an empty suit like Mondale.
