www.politicususa.com/2015/06/07/ann-coulters-appalling-demographic-engineering.html"Ann Coulter apparently thinks “This is Sparta!” Historian Susan B. Pomeroy speaks of the “eugenic principles” which “underlie much of Spartan demographic engineering.”[1] As most people likely know by now, the Spartans took Spartan Exceptionalism very seriously indeed, to the extent that if you were not a worthy physical specimen, you were not worthy of life as a Spartan. If Coulter doesn’t want to actually expose unwanted infants, she seems to be just as fanatical about imposing certain physical standards on immigrants, and has in the past even embraced the eugenic principle of killing some people to intimidate others – namely, liberals.[2] She also recently told Breitbart, while promoting her book “Adios America,” that “When I’m in charge of immigration (after our 10 year moratorium), I will not admit overweight girls.” It is difficult to see how barring overweight girls from entering the country will save America, but this is Ann Coulter and we shouldn’t expect her to make sense." Ah, the ghoulish Ms. Coulter (b.1961) has another bestseller book. Well, bestseller in the Fox News zombie crowd.

www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2015/06/12/mitt-romney-gives-a-brutal-powerpoint-critique-of-obamas-foreign-policy/?tid=pm_pop_b"PARK CITY, Utah — Ever since Mitt Romney’s loss to President Obama in 2012, it has become a mantra in the Republican Party that on foreign policy especially, “Romney was right.” In a stuffy mountain lodge here Friday night, Romney joined the chorus. Dusting off a page from his management consulting playbook, the former Republican nominee delivered a speech by PowerPoint to more than 200 corporate CEOs and other attendees of his annual ideas festival about what he deemed (and titled his slides): “The Most Consequential Obama Foreign Policy Mistakes.” Slide by slide, Romney ticked through 20 mistakes, from Obama’s “Middle East apology tour” to the president’s lack of support for Iran’s green revolution to the administration’s infamous “reset” with Russia. ADVERTISING “With all that bad news, is it not true that arguably President Obama is the worst foreign policy president in history?” Romney asked. “I think he is.” One Boomer Presidential wanna-be slamming a twice elected Boomer President. Personally, I think the whole Boomer generation are a bunch of foreign policy nincompoops. Sorry, Hillary, if you are elected I expect you to be as bad as your husband, Bush II, and Obama. And no one in the GOP herd looks any better, except maybe Rand Paul and I expect him to bend over for the foreign policy establishment too.

news.yahoo.com/pentagon-chief-seeks-nato-spending-boost-counter-russia-113005837.html"Carter is expected to deliver a major policy speech Monday in Germany and will also travel to Munster in the northwest of the country with Berlin's Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen, Dutch defense chief Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, and Norwegian counterpart Ine Eriksen Soereide. In Munster, Carter will also visit the 1st German-Netherlands Corps, NATO's interim rapid deployment joint task force. The United States -- which has nearly 65,000 military personnel in Europe -- has consistently called for European nations to increase military integration efforts and troop contribution to NATO and has said it would like to see more rapid response task forces of this kind established. In 2014, only three European countries -- Estonia, Greece and Britain -- spent at least two percent of their GDP on defense, the target set by NATO." The Boomers were divided into those who bought the Cold War and those that didn't. Ashton Carter (b. 1954) is obviously in the former. And now he's trying to start an arms race. Will the Millennials buy a new Cold War from the Boomers? Fortunately the first one ended with a whimper not a bang.

www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-06-22/jimmy-lee-s-dna-was-embedded-in-jpmorgan-dimon-says-at-memorial"Luminaries of American capitalism gathered Monday to remember James B. “Jimmy” Lee as a Wall Street dealmaker who fought tirelessly for clients and befriended just about everyone he met. Many of those friends filled St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York to pay tribute to Lee, a JPMorgan Chase & Co. vice chairman who died unexpectedly on June 17 after falling ill at his Connecticut home. “Your dealmaking was legendary,” Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan’s chief executive officer, said in a eulogy. “You helped the families not just of the captains of industry in this room, but also drivers and mailroom attendants. Lee, who was 62, spent four decades at JPMorgan and its predecessors, helping to pioneer ways for companies to make ever bigger acquisitions. Attendees included leaders from finance, technology, media and heavy industry." "Cardinal Timothy Dolan gave the final commendation, thanking Lee and his family for their generosity to the rch and noting that Lee was scheduled to receive the Happy Warrior Award at the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in November. The event is an elite gathering of politicians, businessmen and entertainers." Yes, a Cardinal spoke at his funeral. I guess that's what happens when you give big bucks to the rch, something of a religious/financial complex at work. Hey, greed is good - for the rch. Forget all the workers thrown out of jobs as a result of his wheeling and dealing.

www.politico.com/story/2015/08/smer-nuclear-iran-deal-new-york-democrat-120912.html?ml=po"ck Smer is getting an earful from opponents of the Iran nuclear deal. More than 10,000 phone calls have flooded his office line the past two weeks, organized by a group looking to kill the deal. Another group has dropped seven figures on TV in New York City to pressure Smer and other lawmakers to vote against the plan. The powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee has put its muscle behind an effort to lobby the New Yorker against it. And Dov Hikind, a state assemblyman from Brooklyn, was arrested for disorderly conduct while protesting the deal outside Smer’s office. People who have spoken with the senior New York senator believe the pressure campaign is having an effect: They say there is a growing sense inside and outside the Capitol that Smer will vote against the deal when the Senate considers it in September. The bigger question many have now is this: How hard will he push against it?" Once again, you can't trust a liberal. While Smer (b. 1950) is a big anti-gun guy, when it comes to Israel, he's right there with the biggest right-wing warmonger crazies.

www.newsmax.com/Newsmax-Tv/roger-stone-jorge-ramos-univision/2015/08/26/id/672086/Donald Trump's ejection of Univision anchor Jorge Ramos at a Tuesday night news conference was "a giant plus" for the Republican presidential candidate, former political adviser Roger Stone told Newsmax TV on Wednesday. "It shows Trump at his best," Stone told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. " He was in command of the situation. He was firm, he was fair, he let the guy come back in — but Ramos is a left-wing agitator." "Trump asked security to remove Jorge Ramos from the news conference in Dubuque after the anchor asserted that Trump could not accomplish aspects of his immigration policy, including ending automatic citizenship for infants born in the United States to parents in the country illegally." Roger Stone is a dirtbag Boomer Libertarian GOP political operative born the same year I was (1952), who got his start doing dirty tricks for Tricky Dick, and later Ronald Reagan. He worked for Trump until just recently. Trump is coming across as a total control freak IMHO.

I was cruising AM 600 KOGO's website to see what their programming is these days (more on that later), when I came upon a short Tom Brokaw commentary: www.kogo.com/onair/an-american-story-with-tom-brokaw-52906/toms-take-on-the-blacklivesmatter-movements-13931953After listening, I googled Tom to see if he was a Boomer, but he's even older than that (b.1940), so I can't really put him in the Boomer Hall of Shame. Still, like most Old White Guys, he is hostile to the purpose of #BlackLivesMatter, and tries to divert the issue with "well, what about black on black crime?". Hey, Tom, why don't you head out to the golf course and disappear permanently?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Perry"A fifth-generation Texan, Perry grew up in Haskell County, Texas in West Texas, to cotton farmers Joseph Ray Perry and the former Amelia June Holt. Perry's ancestry is almost entirely English, dating as far back as the original Thirteen Colonies. His family has been in Texas since before the Texas Revolution.[9][10] His father, a Democrat, was a long-time Haskell County commissioner and school board member." "Perry supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic presidential primaries and worked in an unspecified capacity for Gore's campaign in Texas.[25] On September 29, 1989, Perry announced that he was switching parties, becoming a Republican. "As governor, Perry has been an outspoken opponent of federal health-care reform proposals and of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, describing the latter as "socialism on American soil".[77] Perry's focus in Texas has been on tort reform, signing a bill in 2003 which restricted non-economic damages in medical malpractice judgments.[78] Perry touted this approach in his Presidential campaign, although independent analysts have concluded that it has failed to increase the supply of physicians or limit health-care costs in Texas." "Perry is pro-life and has signed bills with rules or restrictions for abortion procedures and funding for them.[81][82] In December 2011, Perry said he had undergone a "transformation" and now opposed all abortions, including in cases of rape and incest. The next day he clarified that he would allow an exception for abortions that would save a mother's life." "In 2006, Perry stated that he believes in the inerrancy of the Bible and that those who do not accept Jesus as their Savior will go to hell. A couple of days later, he clarified, "I don't know that there's any human being that has the ability to interpret what God and his final decision-making is going to be." "Perry has called himself "a firm believer in intelligent design as a matter of faith and intellect", and has expressed support for its teaching alongside evolution in Texas schools, but has also said that "educators and local school officials, not the governor, should determine science curriculum" "Perry supports the death penalty.[117] In June 2002, he vetoed a ban on the execution of mentally repersoned inmates.[114] As of September 18, 2014, there have been 278 executions since Perry first took office in December 2000." Good riddance to a Texas dirtbag. His father was a Democrat, but Rick became a Republican during the Reagan/Bush years, like millions of other weaselly Boomers, and a religious fanatic. I guess God told him to execute hundreds of people, including repersoned inmates.

www.deseretnews.com/article/865636761/Iran-thumbs-its-nose-at-the-US.html?pg=all"This is bound to be one of the reasons that a clear majority of Americans and a majority of the House and Senate oppose the Iranian nuclear deal — because Iran has done everything possible to rub America's face in Obama's concessions. Obama was left to save the deal through a crude and partisan appeal." "Iran is effectively announcing that it will be more aggressive in the region after the deal, not less. And it has an increased capacity to do so — flush with cash, released from constraints and basking in new legitimacy. "The dictator has been careful, all along," says Michael Doran of the Hudson Institute, "to make sure that the deal appeared, at home and abroad, as the U.S. capitulating to Iran. We made it very easy for him to do that, because we conceded all our red lines and he conceded on none of his. He could depict it as a capitulation, because it was." Here is a Late Boomer columnist (b. 1964) for the "liberal" Washington Post joining with the right-wing lunatic "Give War a Chance" club and telling us what Iran is going to do. So does he have a crystal ball or something? My guess of what's going to happen is no more wild speculation than his. Of course, he is a CFR member, so his word is golden. And a majority of Americans think Satan is real, so a majority of Americans thinking the Iran deal is bad doesn't mean all that much.
The Wikipedia entry for Michael Gerson says he is part of the "Evangelical Intelligentsia" movement. Now there is an oxymoron if I ever heard one.

www.bbc.com/news/34362675"US House Speaker John Boehner will resign from his leadership position and give up his seat at the end of October. Mr Boehner made the decision while praying on Friday morning - a day after hosting Pope Francis at Congress. Fighting back tears, the 65-year-old said at a news conference that "turmoil" over his leadership would do lasting damage to the House. Mr Boehner has been under pressure from the conservative wing of his party ever since he took the job in 2011. He suggested a private moment with the pontiff was partly behind the decision. "The Pope puts his arm around me and kinda pulls me to him, and says 'please pray for me'. Well, who am I to pray for the pope, but I did." Another Boomer (b. 1949) gets put out to pasture, probably to be replaced with Kevin McCarthy (b.1965), a Gen Xer. It does crack me up when the Republicans stab one of their own in the back. No Democrat tried to do it to Nancy Pelosi. Of course, she was a better Speaker than Boehner.

Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), in his first public statement on the controversy, said committee investigator Bradley Podliska never mentioned any concern about Clinton or politics while fighting his dismissal from the committee staff this fall. In his formal complaints, Gowdy said, the investigator had repeatedly asserted only that the panel discriminated against him because he was an Air Force reservist who periodically had to leave his job for reserve duty." Here is rotten Boomer Trey (b.1964) trying to deny the worst-kept secret in Washington, that the Benghazi Committee was from the beginning about getting Hillary. Kevin McCarthy already let the cat out of the bag. So of course the GOP Smear Machine is going after Bradley Poliska.

I'm not sure how soon the FBI is going to finish it's investigation of Hillary's e-mails, or what the result will be, but if I was James Comey (b.1960), I think I would step softly. He better be squeaky clean, because if I was a Hillary minion, I would be looking pretty closely at the guy for any hint of partisanship. Investigating a Presidential candidate? Could be a political minefield that could boomerang on the FBI. After all, Comey is a registered Republican, and was in charge of the Martha Stewart witch hunt. I suspect he hates successful women, don't you?
