As I said elsewhere, this is really a boring time politically, even with a nutcase like Trump in the WH. I have to turn to speculating on the future, such as when and how the robots take over, which I'm claiming that God is going to use to punish our idiocy.

So I continue to speculate on the future, always a losing proposition but I do it anyway. So my feeling is that once the robots take over, it will be the end of Capitalism since robots have no use for avarice. Especially involving debt, which is a form of slavery.

Well, it looks like God is not using AI to humble humanity (yet), instead he is doing it the old fashioned way: With a pox. We'll see how far he takes it.

I've been contemplating the AI takeover, and I'm guessing it will not be robot armies like in Matrix or Terminator, but more and more of our decisions will be turned over to AI until we can't even think on our own. And with cyber enhancements of our minds we will essentially become robots ourselves.

analyticsindiamag.com/divine-intervention-will-ai-change-mans-relationship-with-god-and-religion/ "Last year, artificial religion created headlines not for tech dominance, but over religion. Former Google and Uber engineer Anthony Levandowski had established a new ‘religion’ and had anointed an AI bot as God. Traditionally, technology has never belonged in the holy realm, but Levandowski’s newly-minted organisation with AI as God thrust us towards the possibility of machine spirituality which could soon become a reality." This article was from 2018, but we thought of it here first in 2014! OK, probably not the first. But we are still the third website when you google "divine robotic intervention". Of course the point we were thinking was not AI as God but God using AI.

www.newsmax.com/us/rounds-biden-guns-takeit/2021/03/25/id/1015205/" South Dakota Republican Sen. Mike Rounds dared President Joe Biden to confiscate his guns on Thursday, posting a picture of a statue of himself holding a rifle and writing “come and take it.” The photo on Twitter shows the statue the state of South Dakota created as part of a series called Trail of Governors in 2016. The artwork of Rounds with his dog is accompanied by the text: “Hey @joebiden – come and take it. Careful, she bites too.” The post comes following public statements by Biden’s aides and Vice President Kamala Harris that indicate the administration was pondering executive action on gun control in addition to two bills pending the U.S. Senate that would restrict gun ownership rights." Why did I post this here? It will probably take bulletproof robots to get the guns from the gun nuts. Senator Rounds is from a "Guns and Jesus" state of course.

Here’s what I’m thinking after spending a couple of hours watching YouTube videos on the threat of AI to humans: Ai is the revenge of us stupid people for how we are looked down upon by the brilliant. AI will soon make the smartest human look as smart as a bug.

I’ve got the scoop now: Jesus is coming back soon, but as a robot.

Apparently I’m the last one to know about robot Jesus. It was even on Futurerama.

As I have probably said before, I foresee the robot takeover not in the form of human-exterminating Terminators, but with AI taking over our thinking. Why? Because we are lazy and thinking is too much work. First decisions on simple things like what to eat will be decided by apps, but eventually decisions like who to marry. And it the end, if we believe in God.

So the Christian theory is that God gave us Free Will so he could divide us into winners (Heaven) and losers (Hell). But when AI takes over our brains this delusion will be put to rest.

I referenced this thread in my Marx thread noting that while religion killed Marxism, maybe AI is sent by God to revive it. Yes, it’s preposterous. But preposterous things sometimes are true. If God hates avarice, Capitalism must go, to repeat myself.

Sadly, I doubt the robots will take over for another 100 years or so. Which means another 100 years of human buffoonery. Unfortunately I won't be around to see the fun when humans lose their beloved, if mythical, free will. I usually don’t quote myself but I’m just updating this post. I think I can happily move up the date of the robot takeover to less than 100 years as quickly as AI seems to be developing. I might actually be around to see some of it. Who doesn’t want AI to be “helping” them with the BS of existence? Humans are so overrated.

I was reading in the NYT a story about which jobs could be replaced with AI, and I realized that AI could replace me on this board with no problem! If it was dumb enough to want to.
