www.nytimes.com/2019/07/06/world/europe/uk-boris-johnson-immigrants-english.html?action=click&module=Latest&pgtype=Homepage"LONDON — Boris Johnson, the front-runner to succeed Theresa May as Britain’s prime minister, has said he would require immigrants to Britain to learn English, echoing remarks made by Nigel Farage, the former leader of the populist U.K. Independence Party. “I want everybody who comes here and makes their lives here to be and to feel British, that is the most important thing. And to learn English,” Mr. Johnson said on Friday at a gathering of Conservative association members, who are voting in a contest between Mr. Johnson and Jeremy Hunt, the foreign secretary. “Too often there are parts of our country, parts of London still and other cities as well, where English is not spoken by some people as their first language,” Mr. Johnson said. “And that needs to be changed.” Here is the PM-to-be pandering to England's Deplorables with some English Chauvinism. Fortunately for the USA, requiring English is probably unconstitutional.

www.nytimes.com/2020/06/02/us/politics/trump-walk-lafayette-square.html?algo=top_conversion&fellback=false&imp_id=596942109&action=click&module=Most%20PopularWASHINGTON — After a weekend of protests that led all the way to his own front yard and forced him to briefly retreat to a bunker beneath the White House, President Trump arrived in the Oval Office on Monday agitated over the television images, annoyed that anyone would think he was hiding and eager for action. He wanted to send the military into American cities, an idea that provoked a heated, voices-raised fight among his advisers. But by the end of the day, urged on by his daughter Ivanka Trump, he came up with a more personal way of demonstrating toughness — he would march across Lafayette Square to a rch damaged by fire the night before. The only problem: A plan developed earlier in the day to expand the security perimeter around the White House had not been carried out. When Attorney General William P. Barr strode out of the White House gates for a personal inspection early Monday evening, he discovered that protesters were still on the northern edge of the square. For the president to make it to St. John’s rch, they would have to be cleared out. Mr. Barr gave the order to disperse them. What ensued was a burst of violence unlike any seen in the shadow of the White House in generations. As he prepared for his surprise march to the rch, Mr. Trump first went before cameras in the Rose Garden to declare himself “your president of law and order” but also “an ally of all peaceful protesters,” even as peaceful protesters just a block away and clergy members on the rch patio were routed by smoke and flash grenades and some form of chemical spray deployed by shield-bearing riot officers and mounted police." I wonder what Trump's hypocritical Evangelical supporters think of this? Probably they don't. By the way, Trump went down to the bunker to "inspect" it.

www.washingtonpost.com/media/2020/07/14/bari-weiss-resigns-new-york-times/"New York Times opinion writer Bari Weiss, who attracted considerable controversy both internally and externally, resigned from the newspaper this week, the company confirmed Tuesday. In a lengthy note about her Monday departure, Weiss criticized the Times for caving to the whims of critics on Twitter and for not standing up for her after she said she was “bullied” by Times staffers. “The paper of record is, more and more, the record of those living in a distant galaxy, one whose concerns are profoundly removed from the lives of most people,” she wrote. “Nowadays, standing up for principle at the paper does not win plaudits. It puts a target on your back.” Weiss came to the Times in 2017 from the Wall Street Journal as part of former opinions editor James Bennet’s vision to show the “many shades of conservatism and many shades of liberalism." But she quickly became a lightning rod for both her social media posts and her published writings, including a large feature on the “intellectual dark web” — a collection of media personalities and thinkers whom she described as “locked out of legacy outlets” — and an essay criticizing college protest movements, in which she cited a hoax Twitter account. She blamed a far-left “mob" for attacking her following several errors she made." So Bari is following that loser James Bennet out the door, and his plan to pander to the deplorables after the 2016 election has struck a mine and sunk. Thank God. Maybe she can go back to kissing Murdoch's ass.

So Ross is in the NYT today giving un-asked for advice on how the Democrats can save themselves fro annihilation in 2022 and 2024. His advice: Move to the center of course. Same advice of moving to the center that the Dems say when the GOP crashes. Specifically, those Hispanics who joined the ranks of the Deplorables in 2020 (I will never use the term LatinX until somebody pays me). Good luck with that.

I guess the term “Deplorables” has gone out of style now. I’ll miss it, it was so descriptive. So what shall I call the unwoke masses now? The Unwoke? Something has to be better than that. Politics, like religion, is all about semantics.

I came across the term “Christian Nationalists” recently and it seems like an adequate replacement for the obsolete term “Deplorables”.

Been watching “Sovereign Nation” on YouTube, which is a mouthpiece for Christian Nationalism. Great propaganda. Featuring Gen X nutball James Lindsay.

So the right continues to crow about working class Hispanics moving to the GOP. Should it be a surprise that they are jumping on the Christian Nationalist clown train? Actually, I was.

So it looks like the semi-Fascist Italian Party with the ridiculous name of Brothers of Italy is is the lead with the latest voting. While one time I would have expected the rest of Europe to greet that news with scorn, no longer. I wonder if Italy will invade Ethiopia? Maybe the Swedes could join in this time.

From Newsmax:
“South Carolina Republican Rep. Ralph Norman says the election of Italy's new prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, is a reflection of what's to come in the United States.
Norman on Monday told Newsmax TV's "Prime News" that Meloni "is a breath of fresh air. It's a preview of coming attractions for what America is going to pick in November."
"When she gave a speech, she was so enthusiastic. She called out the left for attacking our identities, like the national identity, our religious identity, the family identity. And you know, she's pro-democracy. She's pro-traditional family values. Pro-legal imigration. Pro-Christian values. And you know she's pro gender norms like a man and a woman as if that's a novel idea," he added. “
I find it hard to believe anything like the laughable “Brothers of Italy” will succeed in the USA. Maybe in South Carolina.

Maybe I should move DeSantis posts to here since he is touching all the bases in trying to appeal to the Unwoke Masses. Who can outpander? Him or Trump? And there is less than two years to the election.

I guess I have to add Bill Maher as a panderer to the Unwoke Masses. He can smell where the money is now. And he got old and rich.

Just watched a video of Trump attacking the military-industrial complex driving us toward WWIII. it’s obvious the 2024 campaign has already begun. While he is right on about the Washington warmongers taking us to the edge of Apocalypse, sadly I really didn’t hear any solution to the Ukraine crisis, just vague claims this wouldn’t have happened if he had been Prez. But also sadly I keep my mouth shut about the war anywhere but here so no one takes me as a MAGA nutcase. In here I’m just a plain nutcase.

Ha-ha, Bud Light is going broke after going Woke. They forgot that the Unwoke Masses are interested in exclusion, not inclusion.
