That article may or may not be accurate, but I think Democrats should think long and hard before they get too closely linked to MSNBC. The bottom line is, like Fox, MSNBC is a money-making corporate tool, and can't be trusted.

www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/4/gop-increasingly-ready-government-shutdown/"The appetite for a government shutdown is growing among Republicans, who had shied away from one during the debt and spending fights in the last Congress but now say one may be needed. Several high-profile senators this week began laying the groundwork for a shutdown, saying that it may be necessary in order to restore “fiscal sanity” on the federal budget. “I think the last time we saw a shutdown, the fact that Republicans were willing to stand together — on fiscally conservative principles — ended up producing a result that was responsible and that benefited the country and that ultimately produced enormous economic growth,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, a freshman Republican from Texas." I think the mask is coming off the GOP and it's Tea Party supporters: IMO, they are not just against Big Government, but ALL government. Let's hope they do shut it down, and we can see what the American people think about that.

This country needs a good old-fashion revolution. And I bet the "Oath Keepers" will not be on the side of the resident puke in the WH. Damn, I feel good tonight.

The Repukes, Is dead they will never win 2016! They kept John Bonner as The Weeper of the House! Let's see It's Time for Regular Americans to form a 3rd party or Capture The Repukes and annex the Repukes party and change the Party to a new Name to The Constitutional Party! That party already exists. I believe that if the GOP splits up the new party will likely be the Tea Party. Talk exists as if they are already their own party. But they currently exist in the GOP like the Communists (Progressive Democrats) in the Democrat Party. The only difference is that the Tea Party hasn't taken control of the GOP yet where the Progressive Democrats now control the Democrats. The GOP and the Tea Party together generally have as many supporting voters as the Democrats (and its combined parties) but many independents have been swayed toward democrat votes. The GOP can't function without the Tea Party but they haven't learned that yet. Their philosophy is still trying to keep up with the left moving Democrats and the Tea Party wants to stop that movement, even move to the right some (or a lot like they used to be). Until the GOP learns this, they will continue to be outfoxed by Obama and company like they were on the Cliff debates which were previously outlined by other financial debates. The GOP had been set up, exposed, and dispatched by plans set in motion years ago. They still haven't learned. They even kept the same speaker who was selling them down the river. Obama used him to squash their demands by learning how far he would go, then only giving in to almost nothing. He lies and he will not negotiate in the extension of the "Cliff" in future talks. He got what he wanted this round. He is setting them up for getting what he wants in the next round. He will not give in to anything! They must really be scared of him.

No need for you guys to go to the fringe. Give Obama enough rope and he'll hang himself. Heck, I thought Reagan would get us in a war with Russia, but by his second term Gorbachev and Reagan were pals. You guys can hide in your bunkers with your 39 guns and 60,000 rounds of ammo until you die of old age or boredom, but why? Why listen to those right wing the-sky-is-falling guys anyway? They are just trying to sell you gold or their books.

www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/16/koch-brothers-debt-ceiling_n_2486191.html?utm_hp_ref=politics&ir=Politics"When you've lost the Koch brothers, you've lost the game. Republicans intent on smashing through the debt ceiling in order to wring some spending concessions out of President Obama are finding themselves awfully lonely these days, but they've kept soldiering on. The latest ally to abandon them may be the toughest to ignore, though. The president of the group Americans For Prosperity, bankrolled by Charles G. and David H. Koch of Koch Industries, yesterday said the group wants spending cuts, but warned Republicans that screwing around with the debt ceiling "makes the messaging more difficult," the Financial Times writes. The AFP president also warned Republicans not to be seen as "hostage takers." That's a marked change from the summer of 2011, when AFP objected to a debt-ceiling deal because it didn't cut spending enough, the FT notes." I'm beginning to wonder if because the Republicans hate their government so much, that they are no longer able to govern. Shouldn't our government be run by those that love it?

I'm watching Fox News so you don't have to, because Fox News has of course become the face of the Republican Party. And I am amazed that their biggest bigmouth, Bill O'Reilly, led his news story with assault case in Virginia were some guy was "beaten" by a bunch of black kids. While I'm sure that sucked for the guy, to me it looks like Fox is playing small ball, and the GOP can only suffer. Maybe Murdock has lost interest in his propaganda network. Such is the danger when individualism is raised to sacred status.

So apparently "Big Pussy" Chris Christie vetoed a minimum wage increase as being too generous. Now I know in Libertarian La-La Land "minimum wage" is a dirty word, on the theory that lower wages mean more jobs. No doubt they would be able to find morons willing to work for fifty cents an hour, but frankly in my universe people should not be allowed to let themselves be exploited, voluntarily or not. But the silver lining is, of course, once again Republicans are painting themselves as elitist enemies of working people (how much are YOU getting paid, Chris?). Keep it up, Democrats love to win.
